Colour Scheme.

Hi Missies :happywave

Sorry for all the stupid questions lately!! Just looking for some advice on colour scheme.Is it ok to go with a different colour invitation in relation to bridesmaids? My bm's are burgundy and i saw lovely mink coloured invites that i'd love to go with.A friend told me its not the norm to mix the colours,so just looking for your thoughts? Thanks

Im going with the colour of my bridesmaid dresses. But each to there own, i say go 4 it, if its what you want

With weddings, there are no norms, just remember that

I had coral BM dresses with silver shoes and accessories. My invites were cream and gold. My invites went out 12 weeks before the wedding, 12 weeks before the day the BM's turned up in coral and silver so nobody noticed

There's meant to be some thing that the invitations show the colour scheme so that female guests know what colour not to wear if the bridesmaids are wearing it, don't know if everyone sticks with that anymore. I'm having the same colours as my bm's emerald green and sapphire blue, because I love them and the cake, decorations, flowers, etc will all have those colours, I just love the colours.

Our invites are grey and white and haven't got bridesmaids yet!

Don't know if it's any help but our invites are lime green and yellow (freshh vibrant colours for our spring wedding - flowers on the day will be daffodils) and our bridesmaid, accessories, our ties/cravats will be purple - no relation made with the invite but the purple compliments it at the same time and should work overall - I know the invites are the first pieces of communication with ur guest and can set the tone/feel of wedding but u can have a large palette of colours - maybe bring the mink back in with your mass booklets or something? Our bm dresses are a really deep plum colour and our invites are black and cream.... I don't think it really matters anymore.
