Dessy Dresses

Postby Peaches10 » Mon Oct 03, 2011 9:54 pm

Hi ladies,

Just looking for some info for ordering dessy dresses online. Can anyone tell me what websites they have ordered theirs from and roughly how long they took to arrive please?

Thanks in advance :)

houseofbrides.com and bestbridalprices.com are 2 of the best websites that I am aware of. I got mine from bestbridalprices and they took 6-8 weeks as I recall. I think it was around 6 weeks though. They put the order into Dessy, Dessy makes them then ships them to the store, then the store dispatches them to you. Delivery is a bit expensive, so if you have somebody in the US, they will deliver them for free to your person and then they can send them to you for about $30.

i do apologise for ignoring you! In my defence, I have never heard of dream bridal, so probably wouldn't have commented. Or I may not have had internet access, I may have been napping or I may have just not liked your avatar that day, so who knows! Glad you ordered them from a legit company ravenrabbit, they are still half the price of here, but the quality will be spot on. I am delighted with my dresses, and i remember they did arrive a couple weeks before I expected them to, so there is that to look forward to! (insert new, unrelated smilie here) :marryme

Hi I have just ordered my Alyce bridesmaid dresses from Bestbridalprices last weekend and approx date of delivery is 10th Feb and I am having them delivered to a friend in New York who is going to post them on. Getting married on 31st March. Hopefully they might arrived a bit earlier. :D

Going to be talking to my BM's next week - girlie weekend regarding the dresses, not getting married till next year, but hoping to get the dresses in a sale somewhere, what would you recommend??? Try on in ireland shop and then order from the internet- if we get from the states, have someone collect and post back rather than using the company delivery??
looking at getting a midnight blue dress colour, but have to check with BM's....what would you recommend in paying for a dessy dress??? as in should they be less than 200e?!! thanks

Hi All, for any of you in the leinster area I got Dessy dresses in Maria B Bridal Navan for Eur190.00 a dress, they are full length one shoulder, can't remember exact code, she does all her full lenght dresses for 190.00, she takes order, measures etc so less stress if trying to order online yourselves, anyways just to let ye all know, I thought they were very reasonable :grouphug1

Mine just came the other day and took 16 weeks in total. I got them from House of Brides and they are pefect but i did get caught for €180 duty when they arrived. But even including that i saved about 40% on the price.

Just a work of warning though. The website says to allow 12 - 14 weeks for deliver but you need to actually add on another 2 weeks as that time scale is for them to receive them and then 2 weeks added on for them to post to you.

Well worth it though
