Hi,
I got my wedding day invites with simplyweddings.com. They are based in the uk and they worked out at about €240 for a hundred which was really good. All I had to do was put them together when they arrived. For the evening invites I'm just going to a print shop to get them printed or use vistaprint. I did my research tho with simplyweddings. I wanted class and that's what I got. And at about half the price other places had quoted. :)

I'm doing my own, it will cost me about €115 to make invites, rsvps and thank you cards. I'm getting embellishments online, lace in the local craft shop, cards online and will do the inserts myself. It's saving me a lot of money, will add time but my family is a crafty family so I love the idea of having something unique.

Hi lorraine. We did our own but we got all the supplies in the Daintree sale which saved us an absolute fortune. We got all the supplies for invites, booklets and table plans for €80. The hardest I think is coming up with the concept and layout and after that it is like a little factory. I felt like I was on blue peter at some points. We were delighted with the finished product..

Hi,
I made my own invites, RSVPs etc,.. I did it all from scratch and it took 3 months to do.
Looking back I'm not so sure it worked out. It cost 80 euro, so I saved some cash, But it cost a huge amount of heartache, pain & time. I had 7 different suppliers from ebay & the internet for stuff. It took a whole evening just to get the border around the invite to line up properly etc..
Making your own deffinitely saves money but takes an incredible amount of time.
Good luck.

I'm not very creatve and my 7 year old niece would probobaly do a better job with making invites, playing it safe with ordering mine from ebay. They have excellent reviews and selling history so fingers crossed it should be fine. They've even offered to match my colour if i send a swatch. Ollybones I think the user is called but nothing up on the online shop at the minute.
Eitehr way, good luck!

I think I'm gonna DIY my invites.
I think we're going with a pocketfold or panel pocket type invite...
I ordered samples from cardsandpocket.com - they are in the US and the quality is excellent.
Everything comes pre cut so there is no need for guillotines or anything - the biggest thing will be finding a design for the invite and printing them - although I've found an excellent website - istockphoto which has great images. Then printing them...
I priced similar invites to what I want and they are coming out at €4.50 - €5 per invite - whereas making them myself will work out around €2 - €2.50
