Hi girls bought my wedding ring today and the jeweller had a matching engagement ring on special offer if we bought the two wasnt too bothered about it but the jeweller gave us until friday to decide, while we where there the jeweller commented on my finger saying it looked a funny shape like the ring was a bit tight, I personally never noticed this (until he mentioned it & it kept going round my head) and he said when I got home to take the ring off and if my finger swells it will be a blood rush from where the ring was cutting of blood flow or something, anyway got home and went to take the ring off and to my horror it wouldnt budge!! I tought maybe my fingers have got fatter after having my last baby or something, in the end had to get it cut off, im totally gutted cannot believe it or understand it, h2b is sad too!! looks like I will be going back to the jewellers tomorrow to get that ring but im still soo upset, has this happened to anyone before? even though the ring has been cut do you think they could put a piece in it, make it bigger and repair it, or would it be easier just to get a new one!! Any help on this would be great girls thanks

Sorry to hear that b2b - I would be traumatised too.. I love my engagement ring - I never heard of it happening before tho..

Oooh, that's such a pity!

I'm sure it could be repaired although I don't know how easy it would be for them to make it bigger - take it to the jeweller and get a quote for it, it's the only way to know for sure.

B2b Im really sorry thats such bad luck but if it was that tight it cant have been good for you so from that point its better that its off. Did you just cut it once so that it is still in one piece? I know that Jewellers can make them bigger so im sure they have to cut it in the first place to do that so I dont see the problem! good luck....I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

thats awful,, if they can downsize rings i m sure a good jewellers would be able to add in a piece. You must be devasted,

OMG, that is awful. My ring is a little big on me, but it wont fall off my finger becasue of my nuckle. Am debating wheater I should get this ring resized.. What do ye think I should do

Personally 2010bride i think i would - but jst have it comfortable on ur finger - even a half size can make all the difference..

Ooh you poor thing! I know my ring fit varies, Its always tighter round TOTM!........whats new! I also couldnt wear it towards the end of my pregnancy, have heard of it!

So sorry, I'm pretty sure they could put a piece in it for you!

Hi girls well I went into town and got the matching engagement ring that came with the wedding ring (h2b shelled out for a new ring ) showed my other ring to the jeweller and he could repair it although he did say it would be easier to get a new one, anyway he's putting the extra piece in to fit my ring finger on my right hand he said that was the easier way?! Anyway so I now have my matching rings on my left hand and my origional ring on my other hand, not the same but best he could do and at least I can still wear it.
Btw girls have to let you all know h2b called my his wife today, the moment was mildly ruined by his brother but it was lovely to hear and got all excited, cant wait til he's calling me his wife for real!!
