FAO: Brides having reception in Four Seasons, Carlingford

Postby scoots » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:37 pm

Ok ladies,
So the wedding fair is on this weekend and anyone that books with their reception with the hotel will receive a free sparkling wine toast. Now i know this hotel has been offering brilliant deals all along inc the most recent of added chocs in for some favours, but when i rang and asked was i entitled to this toast i was told no, not to be mean but i think this is unfair and the same to anyone else who has booked with this hotel, before any of these offers came up.
I was told its only a promo to get more couples, but wat about the couples who booked before any of these offers? Is it just me or is it a bit unfair?
Can anyone else booked with them maybe ring the hotel and ask about this special offer and that if enough pressure is put on them they might include it.... let us know :(

hi i didnt have my wedding in the F.S but i was at a wedding fair in the hotel i did book a few months after i booked it and they had a few offers extra on that what i got. I asked on the night if i could have them too and was told the same as yourself - no we cant if already booked, so i went home and emailed them to give out and i got them.. I'd def try again

I would defo try them again and if you have only paid a small deposit I would tell them I was thinking about pulling out. I dont think that is very fair on couples who have already booked. I really think you should email them or phone them again.

That is bad of the hotel... You would think to keep the business they would be glad to offer the specials. I would ask again.. Also if yous are bringing alot of people and they where staying add in that the revenue that they would bring in would override the Sparkling wine

my major problem with the hotel is the corkage charge. Its really annoying me as I want to bring my own wine. I am having at least 250 at the wedding. The bar takings will be huge, the hotel will be full and Im going for the most expensive package. I just wish they would budge on the corkage. I have asked and they wanted me to go with their wine which I dont like and would actually end up more expensive..... oh what to do!!!

i emailed my hotel and said it was slightly unfair of them not to offer me the new deal seeing as i had not long booked and paid a deposit of €1000 (big child i know with my its not fair line) blah blah and she emailed me back to say it would e no problem she would update my file.. Maybe try a different angle and ask would they be prepared to maybe reduce the corkage (like meet in the middle)

No wedding rate???? There has to be some offer for ppl staying at your wedding. I'd get onto them ASAP and see what they are playing at..
