Hi Missies

I've just made my first appointment to go looking at wedding dresses on the bank holiday weekend I can't wait!
I have no idea of the type of dress I'd like and I was just wondering if you have any advise or tips for me for when I'm in the shops? Anything in particular I need to be asking or looking out for?

ah thats great hun. Wher u heading to? Wear a good strapless bra and spanx if u need them Try on every colour and style you can ud be surprised waht will look amazing on

Thanks Hailey I'm from Wexford and getting married there even though I live in Dublin, so I'm going to Eden bridal in enniscorthy and then another shop called glamourize bridal and gorey and then mariannes in wexford and see how I stand then! Might have another day out then here in Dublin if I still haven't found the dress!
I'm really excited about it now, I've been kind of putting it off but I was in a shop with my bridesmaids this weekend and the lady scared the life out of me saying it takes up to 9 months

Go with an open mind and don't limit yourself about what you will and won't try. The gown I got is nothing like what I thought I would be wearing.

Hey, I'm from wexford too, and got my dress in Eden! The girls in there are lovely! Also my friend got her dress there a couple of years ago, and she ordered around sept/oct and was getting married in July, and it was there in plenty of time so don't worry! I was also that friends bm and we went to Glamourize as well, and they were lovely too so you'll have a great day! Like the others said try on as many styles etc as you can, cos what you think might not suit might be lovely! I also think put on a bit of make up cos sometimes esp with pale colours like white and cream, they look better with a bit of make up and you will have make up on the day so it'll be a better comparison maybe

Also from Wexford and went to all three shops. I would highly recommend Mariannes, its where I bought my dress. She couldnt have been more helpful and nice on the day. She also offers you the choice of paying the deposit and then the remaining balance over 6 months

I would say wear a strapless bra!! and water because it is hard work getting in and out of those dresses

Yup definately bring water as it can be quite warm after all that changing and bring something to tie your hair up to see what it looks like with different hairstyles and enjoy yourself!!

Eden is amazing got my dress there girls are lovely wear strapless bra and be open minded try on everything and dont be downhreated if you dont find anything this time

Hope you have great fun looking. By the end of the day you will be sick of trying dresses on but when you find the one it will all be worth it. I would recommend to put a bit of colour on you. As the dress looks totaly different with a bit if fake tan on you. Wear good underwear and bring a bobbin for your hair or hair grip if you are tying your hair up

It's fabulous! It's fitted and a halter neck with a few beautiful flowers here and there I just love it. I'm going back next Saturday to try it one more time before I pay the deposit
