Gold Chocolate Coins - where to buy

Postby fionab1385 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 12:13 pm

I need about 200 chocolate coins wraped in gold foil for wedding favours - any ideas of the best place to buy them? Have no idea how much they are going to cost and really want to do it super cheap as we are already providing disposable cameras on the table plus a glass of processo per person for the toast. Thanks

:bluewave I'd give the good auld €2 shop a check on these as I have definitely seen them in there in netted bags - I'm just trying to think of what time of year it was though, as If it was Xmas they might not have them in before your wedding (2 months right?) but then again could be in as treats for Halloween?? - so as I said might be a good place to start looking - or even ask if they could get some in (never any harm in asking such things in this place especially when it comes to bulk buying) - also if you don't have a nearby €2 shop check out local Discount Store (Superstores) like a Mary's of Dublin or some place similar they always have a great selection of sweets and really cheap too.

From an online point of view check out this link http://www.ebay.ie/itm/200-CHOCOLATE-GO ... 1218wt_922

Hope some of this helps in your search and you get sorted :smokin

They have them in Tescos at the moment hun, can't remember how much they are but the bag is big, not the usual small netty ones. I think they were on 3 for 2 there recently too. In the limerick one they were in the section with alot of the Christmas stock - advent calenders, tinned sweets and the like. They didn't have Christmas logos on the coins themselves. There was a lot of cheap enough as far as I remember cause my daughter asked for them and I said no cause it was too late at night, but I said to hubby on the sly would I pick them up for her Christmas stocking and he said "Do you trust yourself not to eat them", I didn't so I left them there cause there was alot it in :) HTH
