Grey suits?

Postby dufferlover » Fri Aug 12, 2011 3:36 pm

Hi ladies,

Just wondering if any of your H2Bs and their wedding party are wearing grey suits? If so what shade? Charcoal or lighter.

I like the idea of lighter but it's hard to fine a suit without tails in light grey and any shop I ring says the darker is more stylish. Our guys are wearing Converse in a lemon colour. Would that look funny with dark grey??

Have you googled for pics of the lemon and grey to give you an idea which shade of grey would be best for you? I think the dark grey would be nice, but you might not. Or even bring one of the shoes with you and hold it against the different colour greys?

we are having light grey for groom and charcoal for the groomsmen, Wilfs in Mullingar may have suits, maybe try ringing them if its not too far away for you. They hire wedding suits.

Dufferlover, LOVE the sound of your wedding style!

Like yourself we're looking for grey suits (lighter in colour than charcoal) and Blacktie actually do them. There's another company called Suits2u who are based in Meath and call out to your house. They do them too, and as well as that they do custom ties (in case you want to match up with the yellow), and the groomsmen get to keep their shirts. Their site is under construction but the email address is suits2u@gmail.com. They've quoted for us and are quite reasonable.

we're having grey suits as well, kind of a bit lighter than charcoal....we're not having tails , just regular three piece suits. We're getting ours in Aston Formal Wear in Dublin - i couldn't recommend them more, they have been brilliant with us and all the groomsmen from the start and they have a great selection. happy suit-hunting! :D

110 each for three piece suit and shirt....meant to say as well that they will tailor the suits exactly to your groomsmens size as well, so that everything fits perfectly. All the groomsmen had to go in 8 weeks before the wedding, so the suits can be sent off to the tailors for them. HTH
