Hair and make up?

Postby gigglebiz » Fri Nov 04, 2011 11:27 am

Hello lovely ladies,

Have ye all gone for hair and make up trials and stuff yet? I think I'm starting to panic now cos I've less than 3 months to go - not even thought about hair (never in my life had an "upstyle") or make up yet. It just dawned on me last night imagine...... :yikes2 I'll be going home, to the middle of nowhere may I add, the night before the wedding so who the hell can I get to do my hair/make up and what what styles etc to do. Do the hairdresser and make up person come to the house or do you have to go to them? What are ye all doing? Anybody doing their own hair/make up?

Ok firstly dont panic :) If u feel mre comfortable u can do ur own hair and make-up. Wher is the wedding on? All free lance hairdressers and make-up artists will call to the house/hotel the morn of the wedding. The hairdresser will advise u on a style that suits u, do u like curls, normally wear ur hair up or down? Is it long or short?

My hair is kind of just below the shoulder length but so light its unreal. Anytime I've ever tried to put a curl in it it falls down 10 mins later (no matter what kind of hairspray etc I use). Oh I hope I've not left it too late. I live in North Cork, close to the Kerry border. I've never ever used a hairdresser anywhere near there (not even sure if there are ones) so wouldn't have a clue how good/bad they are. I'm thinking the make up we could do ourselves (surely one of my BM's will be ok to do that - they always wear it whereas I never do) but my hair :( I wish I could just wake up one morning and have Cheryl Coles - then I'd have no problems! I've got a long veil too and I want it to clip in under the updo cos it looks very holy maryish (if you know what I mean) if its up high on my head. I'm so bad I'd say its even been 18months since I was at a hairdresser last. I live near Tralee myself but its too far to travel the morning of the wedding......there's plenty good hairdressers there. God its my own fault for leaving it so late - this is coming from the bride who bought her dress a year ago! I'm just getting myself in a tizzy now - sorry for ranting :(
