hair extensions

Postby ivorybride2012 » Sun Nov 13, 2011 12:26 am

Hi girls ! Hope your all well. Just wondering if anyoneis like me and has thin hair and considering extensions for the big day? I'm leaving my hair loose for the day so want it nice and full looking. As my hair is so thin I reckon glue in hair extensions would look awful and very noticeable. Can anyone recommend a good place or online site where I could buy good quality clip ins?

well i dont personally have any experience with extensions but ive heard that hairspray.ie are good, they have a shop a few shops round dublin as well. apart from that you can ask your hairdresser about it&she (or he)might be able to get you ones from a salon supply shop or at least put u in the right direction.my cousin got referred to a salon supply place by her hairdresser&it they were lovely-dont tink they were glue in.she didnt pay much for them and she reuses them the whole time when she gets her hair put up

i always hav hair extensions there brill coz ur hair looks longer n thicker dan normal n if u mind them u can hav dem for 4 mths thats the longest i hav mine in one go but sumtimes 3 months there very dear if u get d bonded ones so in between i hav d clips but i hav to curl my hair coz d lengths cant b got wit d clip ins n u can see d clips sumtimes so u almost always hav u leav ur hair down n curled wit d clips unless dey put them in for the day THEN cut but i dont think so it wud take to long morning of wedding.u need to get d bonded ones dey r d best.not d glue ones they break off sumtimes from my experience but there very dear but i am lucky my h2b pays for mine n it takes ages to coz its strands bonded but it looks class.i been to hairspray in dublin b4 but only for d clip ins not them done.dey put dem in dat day.i also got d jessica simpson ones in d post from der coz dey had a sample of my hair so dey know d colour.u can post them a chopped off bit of ur hair coz they r brilliant.email me if u want more advice but i say GO GET HAIR EXTENSIONS COZ DEY R BRILLIANT N u can look like ur fave celeb to and ur hair looks so lushus and long.wher do u live i can reccommend a place maybe if u r from near me or live near wher i live now.

Hi Ivorybride2012 my hair sounds exactly like yours and I was in two minds whether to go down the whole extentsion route :meh but Im so glad I did. I wanted my hair as natural looking as possible, down and in waves I didnt like the upstyles personally as I dont think they suit me. But I wanted fullness too so what I did was I went to hairspray like one of the other missies mentioned there and they were perfect they were clip in. Now my first hair trial was a disaster she didnt wash my hair she attached the clips right away and then ghd my hair to curls...I was very upset and it was a joke. Im so glad I went to a professional hairdresser for my second trial. She washed my hair and then did a curly blow dry ( she said this would help set the waves better and also my hair was shiny and healthy looking after the wash). she cut up the extentsions into parts and place them in different sections around my head. but before she but them in she used the hair wand (a miracle contraption im hoping to get for xmas :bounce ) and then she did my whole head with the wand. I was so impressed not one clip to be seen and the fullness that I wanted. be prepared to pay for human hair clips mine were 80 euro for two sets and I ended getting another set just cause Ill use them all the time. sorry to go into so much detail but I just wanted to let you know the other options out there ;)

I always get extend magic hair extensions in hairspray, theyre by far the best, they last over 3 months mainly closer to 4 months without any maintenance, the bonds are absokutely tiny & they dont shed at all! I cant recommend them enough but theyre quite expensive.

Ive probably used every type of extension known and my least favourite were micro beads, after 2 weeks theyre soooo noticeable, well they were in my hair anyway, had the glue in ones, liked them but they shed alot and it needs maintenance after 6 weeks, the shedding was my problem, Clip ins are good if you only want them for your wedding or wouldnt manage them all the time. Hairspray do 'human hair' clip ins but think theyre dearer than synthetic but you can style the human hair as you would your own.
