Definitely wasn't love at first sight for us! I worked with h2b for 3 years. Couldn't stand the sight of him for nearly 2 years. He said he was mad about me from the time he saw me but he was with someone and I was his boss so he didn't say anything. I only started to like him when I had to work with him more one on one instead of as a team and it just went from there!

met my H2B at a rugby match in twickenham when myself and my friends were sitting beside him and his friends....i was heading to the bar and asked his friends if they wanted a drink, but they said no, so I bought them a drink anyway! He said he knew I was the one for him when I did that!! Nothing happened though that day, we just texted for about a month after that (he lived in London and I lived in Dublin), but went to visit him then and we hit it off from there....so much so that I moved to London for him!! He proposed 2 years later along the river Thames! Happy days

The first time i met my hubby he was seeing someone else and so was I, he was living in the UK. My best friend was going out with his brother at the time.
We got together when my friend and his brothers got married a few yrs later i was bridesmaid and he was best man. He was still living in the UK at the time so we used to fly over and back to see each other he came home that xmas was suppose to be just for a few weeks but he decided to stay so we went over to UK in my little car and loaded up all his stuff from his house and he moved in with me that was 3 mths after we got together at the wedding. He says it was def love at first sight for him and same for me, hard to explain but felt so right when we were together if ye know what i mean.

Cant say it was love at first sight and this is so corny but its the truth!
First met h2b when i was 4! he was 8! my grandmother and his family lived on the same street and my grandma used to mind me! H2b's mam says she can still remember me calling to the door with my little blonde pigtails asking if he was coming out to play!!
Met again when i started secondary school at 12 and went to my grandmas after school and we were friends for 3years before we got together. i was 15, he was 19!
Thats how it all started and havnt looked back since!!

Love reading all these stories....im a sucker for sweet stories!

Long story.....I was a year ahead of my H2B in college & we studied outdoor education...the way the course works you teach the year below you.
I met my H2B on his first day of college....he walking in with his long curls & I thought...hhhhmmmmm hes cute! Took him out sailing that day & he was so gentle & polite besides the rocker look. We went to the pub after college with everyone & I knew I had to get to know this guy....he was uber quite but totally sweet! I was mad about him from that moment on! We got together a few weeks later & were inseprable all through college...but it didnt last! I finished a year before him & left for Dublin for work...the whole long distance thing didnt work!
But we stayed really close mates...he was always the person I could call no matter what! Both had other partners ( i was with a guy for 5 years!)
Then May 2009 I went to visit him with a few mates & from the minute i got outta the car we couldnt keep our eyes off eachother....had a fab weekend then went home...i was devestated leaving him. but we talked on the phone & got back together!
Went to visit him a few weeks later....his boss offered me a job & I moved in with him 2 weeks after that & started work!
We are totally inseperable yet again! Even our college lecutres knew we would end up together!!!

Sorry for the essay! It took us long enough to figure out but we both have never been happier....i feel like Ive found my missing part!

Summer 2006 myself and CB went out to Lanzarote for the summer. One lovely sunday morning 2 fellas arrived to stay in the apartment next door. I remember coming back in and saying to CB one of the guys next door is seriously hot! Got round to talking to him a week later in the bar (after drooling over him round the pool everyday!) and we have been inseparable ever since! We met up the week after i got home in Dublin. He was living in Waterford and i was in Belfast. We did the long distance thing for a year then i moved down and ive never been happier or looked back. I knew the minute i laid eyes on him i was in love with him which felt sooooo weird for me as it was never something i believed in!

Ok here goes,

I met my h2b on a bit of a blind date, a friend gave my now h2b my mobile number and he texted me (my friend told me what she did and I nearly killed her but not I am grateful, lol

We texted for almost a month and he wanted to meet up, he was living and working in dublin and I didnt really want to meet as wasnt interested in starting a relationship or anything but eventually gave in, he drove 3 hours to meet me for a meal, then we went for a few drinks (we both drank minerals as we were both driving, well some of us more than others I only had to drive half an hour) and talked for a couple of hours.

Anyway, He asked me to go out with him and I kept saying no that friends was fine but had no interest in starting a relationship, he was a pure gent and a lovely guy but I wasnt interested in starting anything.

About 2 weeks later, I felt bad that he had drove up to meet me so he was at me to meet up again so I returned the favor and drove the 3 hours, He meet me and we went for a walk along the shore and then on the way back to go for a meal and the cinema, he had got me a bday present (my bday was 3 days later). He bought me a gorgeous teddy (which he remembered that I love teddies and that I have loads and he always remembers me saying that " you can never have too many teddies", lol) and a lovely silver chain which he noted from our first meeting that I was wearing silver.

I was heading to Brazil to go volunteering in 2 days time and he kept texting me and when I was in Brazil he emailed and texted me. He sent me some amazing emails and he gradually wore me down to agree to go out with him. We always say that it took for me to be on the other side of the world to agree to go out with him.

Ever since I have been taken care of and treated like something that was breakable and if something upsets me, he always works it out what upset me and straightens it out. I can say on my behalf it was not love at first sight but that could be just because I wasnt looking for anything whereas I think if I was looking for a relationship I wouldnt have been lucky enough to find my soul mate and best friend which I cant wait to marry on 30th september 2011 so we can get our lives on the road we want and go at our own speed and not be apart again, x

ha ha had to read all of these stories, lovely! I met my guy at a friends mother's 70th birthday party ha ha (you never can tell!) he was dragged along by his Brother, who I knew and between his bro and my mate, they tried to set us up.... I wasn't really interested. Another girl there was trying to get her claws into him and they seemed happy chatting away, so I just left them to it! I went home and he said he was going mad that I left and he wanted my number. A few days later, he managed to get my number and asked me out - that was three years ago - best 70th party I ever went to!!!

I've known my H2B all my life basically. We grew up on d same housing estate, when we were bout 15, he was asking my best friend to have a word wit me for him, I wasn't really interested but gave in eventually, we dated for a 6 wks then and split just b4 my junior cert and got back together in the November and the rest, as they say, is history. Here were are almost 7 yrs (nd alot of ups and downs) later and we're living back in the same housing estate we grew up on in our own place.

Def wasnt love at first sight for me either! I used to work in the local shop and he used to do deliveries to it. I used to hate seeing him coming cause I thought he was really full of himself or something, I dunno he just annoyed me!! All the other girls in the shop fancied him!! He was seeing someone else at the time but I only found out afterwards that things hadnt been going well with them, they had broken up and he had been asking one of the other girls about me! Anyway I went back to college and wasnt working in the shop during the week anymore so didnt see him. About a year later I was out one night with the girls and booked a taxi and I thought I recognised the fella driving but didnt want to ask him in case I was just being drunk! Next night we were out we got him again for the taxi and he gave me his number and told me to ring him when we were going home as town was mobbed and might be hard to get a taxi. So rang him that night and still didnt tell him he was familiar! Anyway he started texting me after that but I was seeing someone else at the time but I thought he was just being friendly. He text me one day after that asking was I the girl that used to work in the shop and it clicked then who he was! Myself and the fella I was with were having some problems, this guy was asking me out but I told him I was with someone else, things werent great but we were trying to give it another shot and would appreciate it if he would back off...and he did! Gave the other guy another shot, didnt work out and was out one night with my girls. Met the other guy and we had a kiss! Almost 5 years on he's my H2B!!!

Hi,
My met my h2b on a nite out in Galway, Me and the girls were away for the weekend. Bumped into him on the dance floor and had a drunken kiss, then we swapped numbers. I thought with the distance (me in cork, him in galway), nothing would come of it, but i was wrong. We txted for a few weeks, then he came down to cork to visit me and the rest as they say is history.
It wasn't love at first sight,all i can say is thank god for digital camera's, it helped me recognise him, when he finally made to trip down south.
