ok mine not so romantic i meet my h2b at his aunts funeral(yeah i know) well he kept telling everyone i was his girlfriend and i wasnt never even kissed him had all the family over saying hello to me for. his little white lie it work we got with eachother 2 weeks later and have never look back after 9 years

I met my H2B 10 years ago in an Irish chat room at Virtual Ireland. A lot of us became friends from all over and we met a few over the years. Several people coupled up and got married. We meet in the chatroom and IM each other. Eventually, he gave me his phone number to call him. He was living in NY at the time and me in Indiana, (USA). I called and he said he already knew he loved me and as soon as I heard that irish charm through the phone that was it. We called each other all the time to talk about books we both like, call when we were both shopping for food and talk about what we were fixing that night. Our cell phone bills were $1,700.00 and $1,800.00 for a couple of months. We talked all the time about every small thing in our lives. He would send me flowers and when my daughter was sick, he sent her flowers. She was only 2 at the time and so excited to get her own flowers. After about five months, we arranged to meet halfway. The first thing he said when he saw me was Yes, I love you . Three months later my daughter and I moved to NY and nine months later we had a baby girl . He has asked me to marry him three other times and I have said yes, but never picked a date. This last time he asked, he bugged me until I picked a date. And now in about a month, we will finally be Mr. and Mrs.

I met my hubby to be at a night course 5yrs ago. There was chemistry from the first minute. A few weeks later we happened to run into one another in a pub in Letterkenny and started from there. 10 weeks later, we moved in together and the following year our son was born! so, happy ever after!.................

This is the sweetest thread. I'm adding mine!

I met my fiance almost 7 years ago. I was only 17 at the time and he was 20. I was a waitress and he worked behind the bar. Cliche but true. We got together at Oxegen in Punchestown on our weekend off and have never looked back. We kind of grew up together and have been through leaving cert, college, masters, a rake of different jobs each, holidays, family crises, personal crises. We bought our first house last year and moved in together after saving an waiting for a long time. We got engaged 3 weeks ago today and after 6 years and 11 months I still think I'm so lucky to be marrying a man that has been through everything with me and we have never broken up over all those years despite how young we were. Sometimes when my friends cant get over how young we met and think we are mad I have to explain to them that never once did I regret not having loads of guys to kiss in college or not going on wild girly holidays. I found my fiance early. Most people find him late. But you never turn down the right one when he comes along. I'll take true love over timing any day.
