Is anyone using silk flowers

Postby Mooseyd » Thu Sep 01, 2011 9:36 pm

Hi am thinking of using silk flowers for bouquets and stands in church. Is anyone else thinking of getting them?

I'm not but you should look at The Wedding Flower Studio - I've seen their stuff a couple of times at wedding fairs and they are about as close to real flowers as you could get.
I think they hire out bits for church as well.

Hi, I am using silk flowers . I love them. I went with a supplier I found on here. Weddingflowersireland.net . Her name is Giselle and she is fab to work with and extremely fair with her prices. She even advised me how to save some money on flowers. I highly recommend her :-)

I'm making my own flowers from coffee filters for the pew ends. 65 pew ends is coating me 17 euro that way. For the alter arrangement I'm getting a big piece of oasis and having a friend collect flowers I'm picking from smithfield and doing a diy job on that and the bouquets from smithfield as well. All flowers will be about 100 euro!

We're using silk flowers for church decoration and fresh flowers for bouquets and buttonholes. At first i was a bit weary about using silk flowers, but when we saw them thought they looked fab.
