Is anyone else's mum wrecking their heads??!! Jesus I nearly put her through a wall this weekend. She nit picks at every bloody decision and always get the digs in that dad is paying for the wedding and isn't H2B very lucky not to have to pay for anything ARGH!!!!! I am planning on sending out invites next week and again it's an issue to her as it's too early!!!!! Step d f**k off Mother!!!!!

Not my own mother fiona, but my mil is behaving in a very similar way! (and our wedding is just over a year and a half away yet, which in itself is a problem for her!). Nit picks at everything, everything should be different, and as we're getting a small loan for some of it off her, i'd say the paying bit will come up too eventually, even tho it's a loan and will be paid back!!
I can't give you nay advice i'm afraid, but i feel your pain!

Thank God my MIL is fine!!! My mum was really put out that we are not involving her in the food tasting even though my sisters never involved her - I am the last girl to get married in the house so they are trying to push the limits !!! They are even telling me what food to serve - ah hello, we will taste the food and pick what we like thanks very much!!! I try to say nothing to her cuz at the end of the day without Dad paying there would be no wedding so I don't want to be ungrateful but there are just times...........argh!!

Very nice of your dad to pay, but I am sure it's not worth it when your mother thinks it's her wedding is it?

10 weeks is about right to send out your invites, do it at your own pace.

Thanks Tanya. She is funny alright cuz she wanted to add more people to the list on Saturday and I told her the list was done and we were already 14 over the max. She said "What is more important, having your Dad's friends there or your friends from work" HELLO !!!!!!!! Ah she is funny , I just have to let it go over my head!

OMG that's hilarious! Maybe they should have a vow renewal, sounds like she sees it as their day! You poor girl, I know I'm laughing but that's not really funny if you are going through it, sorry!

my mam has been good so far. even though they are giving us a big portion for the wedding.
so before she got there i included a few people i thought she would like to come ie: neightbours dont mind, so when i showed her the list she was happy.

Going shopping with her on sat for her outfit we will see how that goes.

Ye i think you need to be sending out the invited now, to give time for people to reply and make the table plan

my mil has no interest in the planning at all - my mum hmmmm well dont think she can be arsed really either lol. tbh though in her defense she does live in uk and cant take an active role in helping me plan things but at this stage now everything is more or less done

Between Dad & Mum they have 26 people coming - tis enough for them considering we are only have 100 !!!!!

we're staying local enough and going into Galway city but im completely kept in the dark what my sister/maid of honour has planned for me - im sooooooooooo excited
