new modernised photo albums

Postby mollybird » Fri Nov 25, 2011 1:13 pm

heh missies,
i was at the wedding fair in city west on sun. it was ok. got the best bit of info from it. i got to see the new style of wedding albums that have come out. you know most people's wedding albums are all delecate and are not looked at much as they don't want them to get ruined. welll...... they now have new ones where every page is made of this cardboard washable down plastic stuff so you can ever ruin the pics. has anyone seen them??? I LOVE IT!! must see if the woman ive asked to do my pics has seen them as she is not a proper wedding photographer.

Yes they are the story book wedding album I'm getting it for mine. I mean I don't know why more people don't get them cause you want to show your wedding photos to people and you don't want big smudges all over them :)
All you need is Faith..Trust & a Little bit of Pixie Dust

Please dont laugh at me- but i love them too but my only worry is i cant get copies of them when i am really old. Ok i know I am daft. i do love them and I am really interested in getting them. i am thinking of asking for pics in a small abumn too. Like I am taking a copy of my parents wedding pic and my partners parents from their albumn- can you you do this from a storeybook. I am going to get other pics too cover this issue I have when I am 90. :-) I know I am mad!!

Yeah our photographer does the story book too and does six smaller versions of the entire album for friends and family. Mooseyd I wouldn't worry about the photos and copying them most photographers have a package that includes all your photos on a disc so you can do what you want with them afterwards.

I'm going to get my images on a disc and make my own book online, have made a few books for work and love doing it, can choose my own colours and designs on each page and write my own captions. I'll be able to make little books there too if any of our family want them but I doubt they will, maybe his mother but that's it.

hey misses
Im going too put a bit of a downer on it now.. the story books need to be kept in a box in a dry area .. any bit of damp at them can ruin them ,also dont be fooled by a cd .. a cd doesnt last forever ( ten years max ) sorry too put a downer ... but i work with photos .. so my advice on cds is print everything off and store them in a dark box .. most of the digital printers now use paper called crystal archive paper wchich when stored correctly can last for 150years ...

I love the storybook i think its just amazing in relation to storing it ive heard most photographers give you a case this must be why they give you the case lol i heard recently that your supposed to copy everything you have onto a new disc every 4 - 5 years dont know how true it is something to do with the stuff on disc can deteriorate over a few years or something
