I have heard a lot of people as well that didnt have wedding videoed and regretted it.
H2B keeps saying we are not, its just another cost, I have determined though :shooting
As for table names really good idea, I just dont know where to start though on what to call tables! :?

jaykay im sure you'll come up with something like just check out other peoples ideas and if you really think about it like things you're both into etc im sure it will just come to you, just start writing down ideas, like music, movies, destinations etc..dont worry too much about it like its not something people are expecting so if you dont come up with names and end up just numbering them nobody will know anyway

Hi

I am getting married in 3 weeks and these are a few things I am doing:

1. Putting a name on both sides fof the name card, so that people on the other side can read the names and won't keep forgetting it or saying it wrong.

2. Typing up the plan from after the wedding till dinner on a litle card for each guest, to be placed on their seats before the ceremony. for eg, Ceremony at 3pm, photo's with all 4-4.30. champagene reception 4.30-5, Dinner at 6pm.This way people know whats happening and won;t expect to be told on the day.

3. Create a little covered open tray like box on the day for the wedding cards. Label it cards and make it pretty with ribbon etc. Place it before entering the room(or soemwhere within eye shot in room) where people can place their weddign cards.

4. Definitely have a guest book, I have bought a plain book from Easons, will stick on the cover of the invite to glam it up and pass it around.

I have read all the other tips and they are fab, agree about a video and have a friend doign it, but am encouraging ppl to bring theres along if they want. Thsi way we have loads of footage to choose from.

Hi there,

I am in the process of organising my wedding for next september, and its shocking what i have done so far, by xmas i can actually sit back and relax and not have to worry cos i will have everything done already,

The first thing i did was created and excel spreadsheet. On the first page I have all the guests that we are inviting and beside that i have the price of the meal so whether they are adult or child i know how much we owe

On another tab I then have the price of everything, how much we have paid and how much we owe, this is great as we can keep track of everything, I even have my seating plan done up. I then have another tab with misc items on it. I just think that this has become my life saver. If you want any other tips email me at outofluk@gmail.com
