I think you just have to have a real think about what you want. Then see if you like them in person, also check how far people will travel and if this will cost you extra and go from there. Good luck. x

I wanted very natural pictures with minimal posing, I wanted traditional pictures, nothing too off the wall. Just nice and simple, but good quality.
Price was a huge factor for me. Once I met my photographer I had my heart set on him. Lovely man, genuine, and easy to get along with.
So I'm happy!

Heard of one photographer who wouldn't even let the bride and groom choose what photos would go into the album as said it's his art. Which i guess is fine, but personally something that personal i'd want a say!

Re: Photographers.... what, how much.... so lost
I've read with great interest the posts in this thread. Obviously it can easily be argued that there is "touch"
while there are many many excellent photographers offering very competitive packages it does raise some perhaps less than obvious questions.
when you compare the images provided by the photographer to those of your cousin "whose into photography" took at the same time, there should be a substantial difference between the two, if there isn't then why are you paying the guy to take them,
How much post processing is done on your images, your photographs again should at least reach a minimum standard that is to charge people for, otherwise again ref above point
for any body who gets an Album included for the sub €1000ish package, while there is a fair chance the quality of this album may be adequate particularly for the short term, perhaps long term the robustness of this album may be challenged,
I agree 100% that people should get the best possible value for money, Im not the cheapest nor am I the dearest but I genuinely struggle to understand how many of these extreme low budget packages are provided and quality maintained.
again these are just my opinions, as many of you ladies already stated you are over the moon with your photography, and that's superb, all Im saying is beware the cheapest of the cheap, you might just get what you pay for ....
Thanks
