Putting a 'grip' on wedding shoes.

Postby BronteBride » Mon Jul 25, 2011 1:40 am

Hi Missies
Just wondering what the rest of you are doing... my wedding shoes have absolutely no grip on the sole of them. they are shiney and almost like timber! I spoke to a cobbler (do we still call them cobblers!?) and he said he would put a thin grip on them. I have had them put on other shoes and they are great.. but i am afraid of my life it will ruin wedding shoes or he gets them dirty or something, sorry, i sound very precious...
What are you girls doing?
also, am thinking of wearing the shoes around the office. I can't wear them at home cos H2B will see!
Thanks Missies

I sure that he would do his best not to get them dirty especially when he knows they are your wedding shoes. Would you have an hour at home on your own a few days a week to wear them hun? I'd be petrified wearing them in work.

Good point. I tend to be sitting when i am at home tho.. or cooking.. and i'm a messy cook....
Will bring the shoes to yer man and see what he says. He said he was in the business for 50 years and knows what he is doing....

there are ones you can buy that you stick on yourself, and they come in different shapes too if you wanted ....
