What colour are your bridesmaid dresses? Did you consider what colours will be in that season to make it easy to accessorize?

Oh MrsMay I am so very undecided about my bridesmaid dresses its not even funny! I have no idea what style or colour or anything!!! I am thinking that I'm going to try to go for a nice pastel colour - nothing too dark! I also don't want the dresses to be too bridesmaidy so I'm considering a pattern.

I hadn't even thought about accessorising! I've been saying to my BMs that they should be on the look out and let me know if they see something they'd like but so far they've been very quiet on the subject!
Thankfully they're all brunettes so can all wear the same, it'll suit them all.

I know, we only got engaged in July and decided to move it along quickly so only have our venue and the solemniser to marry us booked and I'm a little stressed about how much I've to do.

I'm so undecided about what I want for my dress, the bms dresses. H2b hasn't even decided who he wants as best man and grooms so I can even choose my bms. My sis is going to do moh and niece is flowergirl and I sometimes hope thats it so I can just buy whatever I want off the peg next year.

I am thinking a nice pastel, I really like yellow or green as my sis and niece have light hair colour but I'd love a pattern like BHolidaybride

Im am having the bridesmaids in black and ivory,I know its a may wedding but love the look and means the pics wont age!
Am having the three bms in different styles in black but each with touch of ivory. Now havent actually got the dresses yet, had ordered one from litb but ordered wrong size so not chancing it again.

Havent thought of accessories yet though! There are so many colours to choose from but whatever you decide will be perfect

Hi, mrsmay, welcome to the site. We have picked pale pink and ivory dresses. I actually saw the dresses and loved them. I didn't have a colour scheme in mind before I got them. I love the pale pink though, with the accessories im going to try to achieve a vintage look with them. Not sure how it will turn out in the end. Im getting married in May too. How are you finding all the preparation?

I think I'm going with gray dresses and will add colour with dark pink/fuschia flowers. Haven't picked bms' dresses yet though so that could change. Yellow would be lovely Mrsmay!

It's very true about the whole aging thing in the pics, I can see where you are coming from on that one for def. You can get any accessories to match black and ivory, pearls may be great to tie in with the ivory part.

I do like the idea of sticking to the colours that are in at the time for matching accessories easily but the more I think of these things, I can see many of my guests showing up in these colours and I'd be peaved at that

My BM dresses are a really dark plum colour. Didn't even think about what would be in season!! Just saw the dresses, loved them (the price helped too!), and bought them!! I think I'm just gonna go with silver accessories anyway which should be quite easy to find any time of year!

My bm's are wearing purple, their dresses are really girly, theyre short, not too formal but lovely imo. Bought shoes in sale that are an exact colour match. I thought once the shoes matched itd be plain sailing, seen lovely newbridge jewellery that would be lovely so hoping i dont encounter any problems!

We have a wedding website & will be letting everyone know what colour the bm's are wearing, so they bloody better not come dressed the same or there will be

I didnt think about what colours would be in, but when we looked at dresses I had 4 bm's & the colour we chose suited them all, there wasnt much thought other than that tbh

I actually wish everybody did this, am going to wedding on Friday and hoping I wont be in the same colour as the bms

Defo should let people know what your colour scheme will be & an easy way is via the invites. I'm going to be telling everyone what my colour scheme will be (the pallet of purple) after what happened me at the last wedding I was at, I went on numerous shopping trips to find a nice dress to wear, which I did at Coast, turns out I was barely a shade off the bridesmaids dresses and to make it worse they were very similar styles. Thankfully I didn't know any of the bridesmaids so tried to keep my distance for the day

Well this question is easy for me to answer, but is proving hard to do. My wedding dress is ivory and a beautiful purple colour. I have 2 purple swatches that I'm going to use to decide what the bridesmaids will wear, but they will be purple - either the exact match of the purple in my dress or a paler shade that will blend in. Finding the dresses in the right colour has so far proven not to be easy As for accessories I was thinking silver would go well with either of the shades. I hope!!

im getting married in aug 2012 and my 2 bridesmaids are wearing black satin dresses it will look fab against the white and the pics will look lovely well hopefully. now my only concern is the flowers i havent a notion on what to get.

my bridesmaids are in cobalt blue and thinking of pink flowers! will either go pink or ivory flowers and I will have both pink and ivory!

I have not decided yet. I am hoping to find BM dresses first and then I will have a look at what colours the dress is available in!! Not gonna worry about what colour goes with what season to be honest.. all depends on what my BM's and I like!
