Realistic prices

Postby Chanti » Wed Jan 25, 2012 1:59 pm

HI Girls... getting Married in August and am now on the hunt for suppliers for Flowers & Stationary in Dongeal.
Could anybody please let me know what a realistic price would be for a florist based on general packages that they might offer.
As for stationary... we only need invites & massbooklets - any guidelines here?

Any help would be great as I've seen a million "budgets" but am wanting to know what everyone else out there is paying or has paid.

Thank you for the help!

Flower package prices vary greatly depending on the type (are they in season) and the amount of flowers used. I found the cheapest option was to use fresh flowers for the bouquets, button holes and altar display and then hire the rest of the church decoration from the same supplier. My package came to €595 for the following:
Bride's fresh flower hand tied bouquet
3 bridesmaids bouquets
Flower girl bouquet of fresh flowers
Free throwing bouquet
Fresh flower Altar unity candle flower arrangement
10 fresh flower corsages
14 tall hurricane vase style lanterns for Church decorated with organza/ivy
14 organza pew end bows
2 Mums thank you bouquets
Hire of 2 silk pedestal flower arrangements for side/back of altar
Hire of 2 silk rose bay trees for Church entrance
Dressing of church porch in organza, lanterns and candles
Bride and groom chair cover and sash

As for invitations once again the cost depends on the amount of effort you are willing to put in i.e go the DIY route or just purchse them online from a supplier. Also if you want RSVP cards or not. I went the DIY route and printed my invitation, RSVP cardsand envelope seals on vistaprint.ie and purchased the envelopes seperatly off ebay. They came to around €100 for 125 invitations. I plan on purchasing 250 sheets of ivory card stock from my local art suply store for €16.50 and printing my mass booklets myself to make 125 booklets.
