Share your Wedding Dreams

Postby Purplebell » Tue Nov 08, 2011 6:30 pm

Hi Missies,
I just thought it would be interesting / funny to share any of the mad crazy wedding dreams that you have been having. I will start the thread going.....

I dreamt about the wedding one night that I got married without my husband  He had to work the day of your wedding :wtf and his boss would only let him take an hour off if he worked through lunch :spamcops Needless to say the show must go on. So my sister walked me up the aisle :smileybride and amazingly the priest let me forge his signature on the marraige registry as my H2B was on skype :mrs2benut at the time and he gave permission to do so. As for the wedding reception mmy H2B was still working during the meal but he arrived in time for our first dance :justarried2
And we all lived happily ever after....

Good idea for a thread, Purplebell.
I had a dream two nights ago, that just as I was about to walk up the aisle, I realised that the church singer had no music to sing to :yikes2
and as i didn't want the hubby to see my dress, i crawled (commando style like you see in war films!) up the side aisle to get a cd from the priest. when I got up to the priest I didn't know if i should call him "father" or the "very reverend" so i just called him Mick (his title is the very reverend michael.....) :crazynut .
then i crawled back down again and stood up just in time for my dad to take my arm and me to see hubby looking so handsome at the top, heard the play button click on the tape deck
(blast from the past :wtf ) and then i woke up.

couldn't clear the smile from my face the whole day cos H2B looked brilliant. made it seem really real to me! :smileybride

Class idea Purplebell, have to say I giggled reading both posts, just picturing a lovely bride crawling up the aisle, trying to manipulate a veil and ensuring hair stays in tact

I had this dream when we just started the planning of the wedding. Dreamed that lots of people didnt RSVP and when we got to the hotel, they all showed up, but hotel decided that they couldnt fit everyone into the function room, so people had to go eat in the bar, but they were not allowed eat wedding menu, they could only have bar food! There was no dessert, the cake got toppled by one of the people bringing out the food and the band never showed up. H2b ran home to get the ipod and when he got back the bar was closed. And to top it all off, the dress I was wearing in the dream, I wouldn't wear it in a million years, oh it was pretty woeful, little bo beep springs to mind!

I felt sick when I woke up :totallybarf Now that the real planning has started, I can only imagine what I will dream

Great idea Purplebell - I've had a few weird dreams involving the dress but the dream I remember best is arriving at the church all dressed up veil, dress the lot and realising that no one is there except builders. Then I walk into the church and there is scaffolding everywhere and builders all running about, half way up the church is the priest and I walk up to him and ask him what is going on, he turns to me with his arms up in the air like one of mad preachers and with a manic look in his eyes says I've decided I want the church to look like Mullingar Cathedral and then he starts spinning around and laughing. I just stand there and keep saying but its my wedding day could you not have waited until tomorrow?

I woke up in a sweat, to be honest every week at mass I keep looking around for any building work or sagging roofs just in case.
