heh missies,
my dad is coming to stay with me tonight while h2b is away on business. my mum is coming up tommorow to look at two dresses i'm hoping to decide on. was half thinking of showing my dad the pics of the two dresses but not sure if i should leave it all as a surprise. would like him to see it just to see what he thinks.

have any of ye shown your dad's a pic of your dress?? the one that i like and that everyone else likes is the one that my mum doesn't like. that's why she is coming up to see it in person.

Hey Misses, i have been dress shopping and i brought both my mum and my dad to the bridal shop. they loved the experience and my dad has very good sense of style. He was honest with me and told me what suited and what didnt. I wanted him there as i would be close to my dad and would recommend any dad to go and enjoy this special time with there daughter.

I showed my dad a picture of my dress, he loved it and said he thinks i will be fab in it but i know if i showed him the same dress again today he wouldnt recognise it, so although i did show him technically it still will be a surprise

When my parents came to visit shortly after I'd picked my dress, I took them both to the bridal shop so they could see the sample dress on me. I chose a different colour, so when the dress arrived months later I emailed them the pictures of me in my actual dress. I think my dad was glad to be included. He was a bit teary eyed seeing me in the sample dress.

hey, yeah i showed my daddy a pic of my dress, he loved to be included. i know if his life depended on i now he wouldnt be able to pick it out of a line up tho

I'm not trying to surprise him at all with it, he'll be emotional enough so trying to prepare him a little bit as we are going along?!

i showed my dad a pick of my dress now granted it was the shop sample so didnt really fit me and his answer was its ok and i hope u are going to cover your shoulders (i have very broad swimmers shoulders) to which i replied no i was just going to use a veil he just went oh rite. that said he prob wouldnt recognise the dress again.

Na didn't show my Dad, no point really. I can hear him now if I showed him a pic.....oh em I see, right....what exactly am I looking at....... so it's a dress then, ok........em, right ok....as long as you like it....are you making it yourself......HOW MUCH?.....WTF???????....but it's a dress!!!

Yeah I love my Dad but fashion isn't one of his strong points. Ah he'll be all emotional alright as I'm his last daughther to get married not to mention his youngest of seven and he'll tell me I look lovely and all that but no fashion is entirely lost on my father.

I showed both of my parents my dress. My mother was wowed beyond words, my father just looked at it as if it was anyone's dress! But that was not an issue for me, like bingowings he doesn't know his fashion either, the point for me was I wanted both of my parents to have the experience of seeing it. The only other person to physically see it was my chief bm, she's my twin. One of the other bms has seen a picture of it, the third one hasn't.

I'd definately show my dad the dress as he is buying it as my gift, my mum is passed away so it'll be my 2 bridesmaids i'll be depending on when I go shopping, there's no way my dad would go with me, he's totally allergic to shopping of any kind bless him. I think it's lovely that the dads get included, I think they get forgotten a bit

my poor dad wants it to be surprise. He was even saying to my mam when we were going shopping for it, that he hoped it was princessy dress, bless him he's typical irish 70 year old man, not a clue about fashion. my mother is still slagging him!!!!
