Sorry I haven't been on here missies as I have been very busy organising. As you can see from my ticker, time is flying, I had almost 10 months when I joined and now it's just under 8 months left. :dizzy

I had to get booking suppliers as I felt left out when I read other peoples posts. So far I have...

Venue for civil ceremony and dinner... booked
Venue decor, the extras...To do
Invitations... To do
Register marraige... ordered birth cert. from UK, just waiting to get it to make app.
Solemniser to perform ceremony... booked
Rings... mine is picked and deposit paid, just his to pick
My dress... Ordered
Bridesmaid dress... To do
Flowers... booked
Suits... To do
Favours... To do but getting sweets so can leave these till after xmas
Band and dj... booked
Photographer... My MOH is going to book one for me as a gift
Videographer... Leaving to see what the funds are like

Firstly, am I missing anything?

Just looking at the above list, can anyone make any suggestions to point me in the right direction towards suppliers for invitations and suits in the dublin area?

Has anyone ordered bridesmaid dresses from US or suggest the best place to get these, not too expensive though?

Thanks girls, I'm back to help anyone else in any way I can!!!

Hi Mrsmay2be, welcome back! :bluewave
Sounds like you are on the right track to get everything done. Have a look at blacktie.ie for suits, they have quite a few stores in Dublin. I'm getting my invitations from an American site called Wedding Paper Divas. They've sent me a free sample of the invitation I wanted, just have to place the order now (and I get 20% off if I order them within the month of getting my sample one). Don't know if the postage to Ireland would be too much though...

Good luck with planning!!! :smileybride

Hi,

I haven't done suits or invitations yet but got my BM dress in Debenhams. It was about 80 sterling, there was 20% off the day I got it. They have quite a good selection of dresses that would work for BMs and they have sales really often. They do tend to charge lot more in south so might be worth a trip to shop in Dublin with your BMs and if you find something you all like check price on UK website. Might be worth a spin to Newry or Belfast to buy especially if you have a few BMs. Or order online if you have someone in UK or up north to get it delivered to. Good luck.
