They're out....our Invitations, finally, well bar a couple but were meeting those guests at a party this weekend so that will be the last of them and I am sorry but just can't contain this feeling Didn't think I'd be this excited but it has really kicked this wedding into gear for both of us and made it more official so to speak - we've already received 2 RSVP's back so can't wait for the rest to come in (our RSVP date is not til late January so am sure they will trickle through and then a burst after christmas)

Having designed, typeset and produced our invites myself I am extra delighted with the way they have turned out, after 8 options we combined different elements we liked and put them into one - incorporating the two languages was a little tricky but I have made it work and excuse the pun but married them together nicely - the whole lot looks great as a stationery set and a great base for the overall tone for the wedding and theme for other items we have to get sorted (booklets/message cards/colours etc) and we've already got great feedback and compliments on them, saying they are so fresh/unique/personal and really US Delighted is not the word me thinks a little celebrating this evening

Thanks awhiletogo - as we are having a small wedding we were able to hand deliver the majority of them - Also because we introduced a wax seal onto the back of the envelope we didn't want that to get damaged/fall off in the posting process plus we saved on stamps so think we deserve to celebrate a little

And best of luck waterlilly on getting yours - I tell ya it's great when you get them into your hands first - we spread our whole stationery set out on the table when we got them back from the printers and just stood back and looked at them as if they were a new baby OK so not that dramatic but you know what i mean - We put a lot a thought into them and everything has now stemmed from the design of the invites and as I said have set the color theme and tone for following items. Again good luck with the ordering

Hi all after chatting with another missie earlier thought it would be nice to share photos of our finished Invites and wedding stationery. Photos attached below

The strong yellow and fresh lime green is to reflect our Spring Wedding (March) and also to tie in with our chosen flower for the big day - the Daffodil. I'm Irish and my B2B is Polish so hence the two languages and the 6pg DL Fold Layout of the actual Invite. Unfortunately these photos don't do the paper stock any justice but got them printed on a nice uncoated paper stock that has a quality handmade feel.

Let me know what you think would be nice to get some non bias comments and as the other missie said it might even give someone inspiration And just great to get another thing ticked off the Wedding List

Wow thanks Ladies for your very kind comments wasn't expecting that reaction I am so pleased though that others think they are nice - I put alot of work into them and wanted them to be personal and reflect us as a couple and also set the tone for our wedding as I said most things are now stemmed from this design such as colour palette/reception and can't wait to get into the other printed bits such as the booklet. oh wow those invites are stunning. you must be soo proud. nothing like the feeling of getting the ball rolling. i got that feeling myself yesterday when we managed to provisionally book the hotel for the wedding. was well excited . we even celebrated a bit with a bottle of bubbly well we had a few other small bits, none wedding related to celebrate anyhow.

must try and get down home in the next few weeks ot put the deposit on the hotel and then can sit back and relax till next year. church booked a few weeks ago so that one less thing to worry about.

Mollybird - we were exactly the same got loads done the first couple of weeks so we could sit back and relax these last couple of weeks have seen us sending out the invites/pre-marriage course and registerting the marriage and a couple of other small bits and think that is us done now for another well - thanks also for the compliment on invites we are very proud indeed.

oh wow those invites are sooo pretty. well done on doing them yourself my make and do skills are not that good.
