Agree with jamber, if you have a wedding website or even on your invites - just say what colours your bms are wearing.

Defo should let people know what your colour scheme will be & an easy way is via the invites. I'm going to be telling everyone what my colour scheme will be (the pallet of purple) after what happened me at the last wedding I was at, I went on numerous shopping trips to find a nice dress to wear, which I did at Coast, turns out I was barely a shade off the bridesmaids dresses and to make it worse they were very similar styles. Thankfully I didn't know any of the bridesmaids so tried to keep my distance for the day

Back to the original question, what coloured accessories would you be looking for ?

Well this question is easy for me to answer, but is proving hard to do. My wedding dress is ivory and a beautiful purple colour. I have 2 purple swatches that I'm going to use to decide what the bridesmaids will wear, but they will be purple - either the exact match of the purple in my dress or a paler shade that will blend in. Finding the dresses in the right colour has so far proven not to be easy As for accessories I was thinking silver would go well with either of the shades. I hope!!

im getting married in aug 2012 and my 2 bridesmaids are wearing black satin dresses it will look fab against the white and the pics will look lovely well hopefully. now my only concern is the flowers i havent a notion on what to get.

my bridesmaids are in cobalt blue and thinking of pink flowers! will either go pink or ivory flowers and I will have both pink and ivory!

I have not decided yet. I am hoping to find BM dresses first and then I will have a look at what colours the dress is available in!! Not gonna worry about what colour goes with what season to be honest.. all depends on what my BM's and I like!

Well i just ordered my bridesmaid dresses, there black one shoulder cocktail dresses, i decided on black as i think it looks very elegant, although i do plan on getting bright shoes, like fushia pink to add a splash or colour! Plus maybe a pink bouquet!

Im getting married in May 2012 and im going for a yellow / silver/ grey colour scheme. My BM dresses are yellow....here's a pic to give u an idea of the shade -

The girls are gonna be wearing silver shoes and ive got them lovely sparkly silver jewellery!

My H2B will be wearing a charcoal grey suit and the groomsmen will be in pale grey suits.

My dress is white and im gonna have yellow shoes underneath!!

I have a pic in my head of how it will all look so im hoping it looks haf as good as it does in my head!

Hadn't thought of a wedding website and I suppose my invitations will be in my colour scheme so the girls will avoid wearing this colour. It's a fair point that Jackyl made, people want to avoid wearing the same colour as bms for obvious reasons.

Thansk girls , you have all been an amazing help. I was worried about whether I should try be in fashion when really I should just get what I like!!!

Thanks mrsmay2b! My BMS were a bit unsure about wearing yellow but theyve come round now! My invites also have the yellow incorporated so guests should know what colour the BMS will be!

This is what I got...Im also getting married in may. I cant take credit for them the BM's picked them themselves.....only prob ive encountered since is the colour is not exactly pink and not exactly purple so im having problems getting invites and groomsmen neckties to co-ordinate!
