We must just do the paperwork with our local priest (not getting married where we live now) and then that's it, all done, Oh ya i met with the choir master last week so I must insert the music into the mass booklet and pass it onto the priest for approval.
My hen is this Saturday and I am really excited about a night on the lash and sur after that then is all wedding wedding wedding.
How are you doing??

Hey Cheeky Chick, when is your date. Mine is July 22 in Donegal.

I just ordered our cake over the weekend and all day and evening invites are now out. I have my wedding band but not H2Bs yet. I am deciding between two different ones that match mine. Menu is all set. After we fly over, we are meeting with the registrar to finalize everything. We have already sent everything they needed last year to approve the ceremony and the venue.

As far as I know, my future sister-in-laws, etc. are not having anything for me when we get there. (boo hoo)

Is there anything else do?

Thats a pity that you fsis's aren't having any kinda party for you. Have you many people coming over for the wedding?

The DJ is booked and we have let him know the entrance song at the reception, first dance, last dance, and I guess my H2B has a song that is the very last last as we are leaving after we thank everyone and invite them to join us in the bar area (that is at about midnight when the DJ is done) and we will go and change or I will into a party dress to wear in the bar until 4 or 5 in the morning.

My family in the States had 14 months to prepare and in January they were all coming but as the weeks have gone by each one dropped out and now my mum and dad are not even coming. I am upset and disappointed :crybaby and embarrassed that not one brother or sister will be coming or my parents. :crybaby H2B has a large family in Donegal and friends so we will still have about 70 to 80 ppl. 35 for the ceremony and meal, the rest for the evening reception. But I am so looking forward to it :bounce :bounce :bounce

Music - just need to do the cd for the ceremony, that's it. I don't know what I want? ANy suggestions anyone?
:crazy

Thats a shame they can't go :hug2 :hug2 are you having anyone walk you up the aisle??

Are you having a civil cermony? If you are you could get classic musicians playing popular songs- Eric Wuest does lovely violin versions of Chasing Cars and others. I remember kefjo saying the Vitamin String Quartet was brill!

Another idea is to pick out your favourite versions of songs and put them on the ipod and get the hotel to play them over the sound system!!

No one walking me up the aisle. I have our 12 year daughter as my maid of honor and our 8 year daughter as junior bridesmaid. H2B is having his 19 year old son as best man.

I can't imagine walking up that aisle alone.

We are having a civil ceremony. I read another post somewhere, and they had a cd which had three songs on it, one for coming up the aisle, one for signing register, and then one for walking back up the aisle with husband.

Would you walk up the aisle with your daughters?

I think another mrs2be was walking up the aisle with her h2b. It can be a bit more casual as its a civil cermony. Alternatively your daughters could walk you up half-way and your h2b could meet you and your daughter could hand you over. Could be a lovely moment.
