Suits

Hi all hoping some of you fashionistas may have some advice/help - basically after much thought I have decided to go with the regular "Wedding" Hire suits as in the waistcoat, cravat tails etc - I was going down the route of a more stylish fitted suit but I think from a photographic point of view the "Wedding" suits will look much better and I only plan on doing this once so getting the "Full" gear might be more special so to speak rather than my idea of rebelling against the norm in this instance - so I have made an appointment for us for next weekend but went in on saturday to have a look rather than keeping my best man and dad waiting around whilst I decide on a color/pattern/style, now there is two I like but one does have the edge the only thing is I don't think there is a Contrast version in the waistcoat so we would all (there's only the three of us) be wearing the same thing - and what I want to know is what would be the best way to differentiate me from my best man - is it as simple as having a different color cravat or a buttonhole? - not a major dilemma but would just like your thoughts - as well as that does it really matter if we are wearing the same, we are all part of the bridal party? It's not as if they won't know that I am the groom? Any thoughts welcome

One of the most common ways is by you wearing a different or more extravagant button hole. Or if you're wearing a cravat or tie get yours in a slightly different shade. Other than that there's not much else but the subtle changes can make all the difference

Hi MrsMul2b I thought as much, but as you said the subtle difference in the Buttonhole may work just fine - As there is only going to be me and my best man this could be just enough and I do like the cravat color change it's just to get a color that works but am sure the suit place can advise and littlemisscupcake good idea on the jackets! Thanks very much

Hey BluefishJD

My h2b is having "normal" ties and suits, rather then the dress suits, but he's having silver/grey waistcoats and navy suits for them all, but he's getting a silver/grey tie while the rest of them will have a royal blue tie to match the bm's dresses, that's the plan anyway. I assume that type of idea would work with cravats and other colours too, if you found it hard to get different shades of the one colour

Hey awhiletogo that sounds good too and like the co-ordination and I am not totally 100% on the cravat so tie could be an option and have more choice in color as well! Thanks
