Ringing to see the register
Ringing to see the register
Hey Missies. I am going ringing the register tomorrow and am wondering do they ask you anything on the phone? What, if any information would I need to give to book an appointment? And is there anything I should ask?

Thanks. That's great hope they take my email because I know I will forget everything without a list I'm a serious scatter brain!

Re: Ringing to see the register
You should just ask them to do it for you. Mine is lovely & when i rang initially she gave me her email address & told me when we had a date that suited to attend the appointment to email her & she would arrange it from there. Were getting married in another county so we have to register there which makes it a bit trickier. Most of them are so helpful

Re: Ringing to see the register
That's good to know, we were in for the meeting with our priest and he made them sound horrible!! Saying they don't have time for people and that they just want paper work done right I was actually a bit nervy ringing lol (so not like me)

he took our email address and emailed our confirmation to us and i had to ring them back to ask them something and i have to say they couldnt be nicer. occassionally you find one thats a bit out of it they were prob new but i had the lady ring me back the following morning.

Re: Ringing to see the register
Oh that priest was 100% wrong. The register told me they could see me next week ( priest said it will be about 6 months time) Said I would wait till the 18th of next month though. And even then he told me he can change to fit our need anytime.
Thanks again peoples
