Should we add to Bridal Party?

Should we add to Bridal Party?

Ok quick question in about Flowergirls & Pageboys!

Since my darling H2B has now given me enough money to pay off the wedding I figure that I have a little more cash to play with.

At the moment I have 2 Flowergirls & 1 Pageboy.
My flowergirls are 2 7 year old cousins...one from either side
My Pageboy is my nephew who will be 15 months at the wedding

Thing is that there are two other children attending the wedding....
One is a little boy who will be 2 & 1/2 & he is brother of one of the FGs
The other is a little girl, a friend of mines daughter who will be 13months at the wedding.

I feel that it might be nice to get them dressed up as they will be at the wedding anyway.
There are only 5 children attending & I would hate for anyone to feel left out!

What do you think....is it mad to have 3 FG's (one of which is tiny!) & 2 Pageboys??? Am I going over the top? I already have 3 BM's & 3 Grooms men!!! I just think it would be nice in the photos & they would all look so cute. The suits wont cost much to hire & Im getting the FG's christmas party dresses in Dunnes!

It is up to you

I have three nieces and two nephews

Two of my nieces are flowergirls - aged 7 and 4, i felt the youngest was too young - she is not 2 yet

I want to involve my nephews aged 16 and 9 - think i will get the 16 year old to do a prayer and get the 9 year old to help do usher

Or might end up having two pageboys - the 9 year old - and h2bs cousins (best man) son who is the same age

Its really hard to decide but with the younger girl who will only be 13months I was thinking of having her in a little white dress coz my 2 other FG's are wearing red dresses!
I just dont want anyone left out as we are only having the 5 kids at the wedding!

Why not. It would be lovely to include everyone.

I would normally say go for it but that money would prob come in handy nearer de day. The other children wont be left out unless yoy have them all sitting apart and you could always include them in some family photos. If ur 100% sure u wont need the money for anything at all including on the day drink etc for u and hubby then go for it.

Between me and H2B we have 10 nieces and nephews. We were originally going to only have my goddaughter and his only nephew in the bridal party, both of who are 3. But in the end, we decided that we would have all the olderr ones take part. We now have 2 pageboys and 3 flowergirls! The outfits didnt work out that expensive in the long run, and im glad we decided to do it! If you feel right now that you would like to have the extras I say go for it....you regret the things you dont do more than the things you do!

well if you really want them in the bridal party then go for it esp when there is only going to be those 2 children there not i it. But as anothe poster said get them involved in photos etc and there would be no need they wouldnt feel left out at all. Plus the 13mth old child prob wont even pass any remarks but the older child could maybe hand out few mass booklets that way he is involved without any added expense to you.

would you consider asking the childrens parents to get them a white/ivory outfit, (maybe you could give them a voucher or money towards it) and tell them that you would like if they could be involved in some way as there are only few children at the wedding, you would like to include them!!
