the last wedding i went to they asked for money so i gave them a voucher so atleast i knew the money that i'd spent was going towards something that they needed

i still can t get over the cheek of people to put that on invitations, some people are just plain rude, most people will give money anyways but to ask for it is just madness

OMG people actually put it on the invitations thats disgracefull, what happened to just wanting people to be present at your wedding day the most important day of your lives rather than thinking of the presents that you will get or in this case working out how much money you will get back in return, thats just mad I can't understand it at all. I personally would rather if people came to our wedding without feeling under pressure to give a gift but because we wanted them there

I've said in a previous post that we're going to put 'Your presence is our present' on our invites, so our guests will know straight away that all we want is for them to share our day with us. We're not having a big wedding so we really just want the ppl we're inviting to actually turn up! Surely it's more important that you have the ppl you love around you on your day?
