You will get a green folder with your Marriage Registration Form in it. Its is the MOST important thing that has to make it to the church on the wedding day! Most churches will take it from you at rehearsal to save you the stress!! You cant be married without it! Its the form everyone signs on the day of the wedding & you send back to the registrar to get marriage cert!

And you need to bring it back within a month to register the marriage - i only remembered about ours the day after the wedding and thought it was left in the church - but the priest had given it to my mum for safe keeping

Yea I thought I had lost mine after ceremony but priest had given it to my mum too!! Thank God for Mammies!!
You can post it to the registrar if you need to, we sent ours by registered post & they rang us to let us know that they had received it!!

were only havin a 20 mins ceremony over there by a humanist priest. Anothr stupid question. Whas the difference between civil/religous cermony?? Do i need to fill in a soleminser bit?

Yep, the solmneiser is the person that performs the ceremony, whether they are a priest or civil registrar or whatever.
