Have venue, church, photographer, videographer and band and dj booked. I'm ordering my wedding dress this weekend.
Need to get onto religious stuff as the priest is saying my h2b has to make his confirmation first. He ain't happy!

I don't know why but this made me giggle!

how come dufferlover ? coz hubby has to make confirmation ? it had me in stitches at first but its going to take a lot of work. they reckon you enrol in september and make your confirmation around easter ! :wtf its so annoying because he is only doing it for me and i feel bad. im actually going to start considering having a civil ceremony coz i reckon its a load of bull... my parish priest here spoke to secretary of parish in ireland and she says all people have to have their confirmation these days. im hoping to speak to the priest soon and see if there is any way around it like if we dont have the bread and wine part .... all part of the fun!
good on you for getting your music stuff and seating plan sorted last night :cool

I'm next summer too. 7th July in Railay Bay in Thailand.

Have the wedding package booked with the resort, that includes the legalities, ceremony, photographer, video, cake, flowers, hair, make up etc etc so there's not much left for me to sort actually.

Need to sort the clothes, but leaving my BM's to their own devices, they can let me know when they find something they like and I'll pay, and match the colours to that.

My own dress, Im not too excited about. Im really not a shopper, or a girly girl and hate looking for clothes. Probably get it made here in Thailand which won't take long. Maybe in January I'll start. Might look around when I'm home for xmas to get an idea for styles etc.

The line itself initially made me giggle but when you explain I realise it's a lot of work for your H2B considering it's stressful enough organising a wedding. I hope I didn't offend you, I didn't mean too :hug3

Welcome to all the new summer brides of 2012, hope you are all busy planning :) I'm dress shopping this week and loving it...I seen 3 dresses today that I adore, its going to be a tough decision!!! My mother also got her outfit today which is fab on her and we got the unity candles and some candles for the laterns in Dunnes ( I think if memory serves me right it could have been muckypup that recommended the candles so cheers for that hun) Were just going for plain unity candles and they were a bargain @ €13 :bounce :bounce Anyone else get anything else sorted?

Wedding is on the August Bank Hol weekend so I don't think it really counts as a Summer Wedding. But its is School Summer Holidays so I'm going to call it a Summer wedding.

I have booked the church and the hotel, bought my dress (yeah! :bounce ), booked a dress maker to do the alterations and make the bridesmaid dresses, picked my bridesmaids, we've done the pre-marraige course, booked the appointment with the civil registar, have the cake sorted(baking myself and a friend of my mums is decorating it), booked the photographer, bought the decorations I need for the church, have requested quotes for the invites from a few companies. I am doing the flowers with help from my mum (I arrange flowers as a bit of a hobby so I am delighted to be putting my practice in action for something nice for me). A pal offered to sing in the church so that is one less thing to worry about. I have my eye on these hand made candles from France for the unity candles and will be getting them when I am hols there in September (God that sounds really pretentious Hand Made French Candles LOL - but I saw them a few years ago and they are so pretty :reallove )

Looking at that list I feel like a right swot but I was really excited in the being and got a lot done and have sat back a bit since. Really need to get moving on a band or will end up with Uncle Denis on the banjo and my niece on the drums (she's 2 and a complete nutter for her drum set! :smash )
