Summer 2012 Brides!

Hey girls,

Just wondering is there many summer 2012 brides out there? And what have ye got done...so far I have the church, venue, band & D.J, photographer booked. Booking videographer tomorrow hopefully and have the pre marriage course booked for November. Is there anything else I could be doing?? Trying to sort out our budget at the minute but finding it very hard cos we don't know how much things will cost...how did ye all do your budgets??

ME!!! Summer 2012! Yay!! I have Church, venue, band & Dj, church singer, Dress bought and bridesmaids dresses ordered! Phew seems like lots but i have 3 weddings abroad this year alone plus 1 here! so trying to pay some things off before the expense of the others.. Photographer is next on my list to do!
Re the budget i downloaded a template and then decided what the max i was willing to spend on each item was and that was that!
I must say I love organising!

Nowhere near as organised as you guys though! Have booked the church and the venue but haven't paid deposit on either one yet! Doing that next week.
I'm so excited I'm about to burst! What will I be like this time next year!

Have you looked at dresses yet?? Im worried if I pick something too early I'll be sick of it!! But I can't wait to go looking!!!!

No haven't looked in any shops yet, I'm exactly the same and I would end up spending more money on another one which I don't have. I have looked in magazine and online so I have an idea of what I like but it might be terrible on me! I'm not planning on looking till end of this year maybe over the Xmas??

I thnk I might go looking over Easter as I have a few days off... Cant wait to pick a colour for my bridesmaids too as his will obviously tie in with a lot of other things!

I'm more of a Spring 2012 bride (my 12 month mark is just around the corner )
So far we have church, reception, cake, DJ, hair & beauty, invitations, favours, drinks reception entertainment all booked. Friends are doing cars, church singer and photographer so they are all sorted. Flowers are being sorted by SIL2B as a gift but I know the type and style I want. Flower girl dress is bought and so is my tiara. Childcare for DS sorted.
Wedding dress is picked but not yet booked (very soon I hope!) and I am also 90% sure what bridesmaids dresses I want. I have my shoes picked and I think I am getting a lend of a veil off H2Bs cousin. I'm not having a video or a band so don't need to worry about them.

To sort out my budget, I just did up a list of everything that I could think of that we want for our wedding and then started getting prices and quotes. Obviously the reception is the biggie so once you have that decided you can spend as much or as little as you want on everything else. I just record everything on a wedding spreadsheet and then update it as I get things and also adjust the figures if something came in over or under budget.

I still have to do:
Registrar (still too soon)
Pre-marriage course (not 100% if we have to do this - we have a very cool priest)
Honeymoon (more of a mini-moon so not booking til after Christmas)
Suits (still very early - will book in Sept)
Jewellry, underwear and shoes for the girls
Gifts for bridesmaids and BM and groomsmen
Order of service booklets
Rings (H2B is very fussy about his ring so we will probably have to get it made)

I don't think we are doing too bad so far. What am I forgetting?

Hey i'm a summer 2012 bride! Can't wait. Almost wish it was this summer. We have church, hotel, band, dj, flowers and church singers booked. Went looking at dresses today and really like two but I'm waiting to see if I get that OH WOW feeling. Have looked at cakes and am sure on supplier just havn't booked yet. Have a meeting with photographer next monday so I'm hoping he's the one!
