Wedding and Honeymoon Show - RDS

Postby BHolidayBride » Mon Aug 15, 2011 4:27 pm

Hi Missies

Are any of you planning on going to the wedding and honelymoon show in the RDS in Sept?
Or have any of you been to it before?

I'm keen on going but I heard from a girl in work that its really busy and if you don't get there before 9.30 AM you'll just end up queing for ages :o

I went last year and I went on the saturday afternoon which was going to be the busiest time and yes it was busy but not that you didnt have plenty of time to get around to stall to stall - In fact its probably a little better because if it was really busy you dont get as much chance to look at this - well I dont as I hate the oh well take a look at this one - or that one etc - I like to look at things at my own pace!

Ive been to two shows already and am going again in September! There can be a bit of a queue to go in but they move quickly eneough. U should try get there early cuz you dont wana miss the fashion show, its brill! Its well worth it, a great day out. And you get great special offers and deals from all the suppliers. I even won my wedding cake there the last time! A €500 cake whatever I wanted! But dont bring h2b bring a girl or your mam as its too much for the guys in my opinion! Far too girly!

I'm planning to go on the Sunday afternoon as I'm working on the Saturday. Bringing the mammy and my sister with me. Should I buy the tickets in advance, or get them at the door? Would they be sold out do you think?

Nah they dont sell out, you'll get in by paying at the door, you dont actually need a ticket. There isnt a limit of people who can go because people are constantly arriving or leaving all day.

Hiya - It's like Disneyland for Brides! :cool I really enjoyed it. My poor H2B nearly went off his game though! He's very involved in the planning process but I think this was too much! We went on the Saturday last year and I found that it really quietened down around 4 ish. From opening time to 4 was nuts! You couldn't talk to most of the vendors as there were crowds of people around each stand. My advice would be to leave it until 4ish before heading in - the only thing would be that you would miss the fashion show but I didn't think this was great anyway TBH. Enjoy!

I went to the one in Citywest back in January with my sis & h2b and we were there ALL day. There were sooo many stalls I hadn't a clue where to start :dizzy :dizzy

Just take your time, make sure you see all the stalls as there's competitions at most of them. We're going again on the Sat, can't wait !! :clapper :clapper
