oops, should have looked before I posted my thread, sorry scdp!
just started a thread see people's cakes. meeting someone about mine this weekend. so excited.
the guy I'm meeting sounds really nice, and really reasonable! He guarantees that if you have a cake somewhere else he will beat the price. on very expensive cakes he said he will beat it by at least half!

think I want a round one but have no clue at the min!

I have to get in touch with h2b's aunt soon to let her know what we want, but I don't have a clue! I know I want chocolate, and I quite like square cakes, but it's something i'm not overly bothered about tbh. It's just gonna be cut and eaten!!

All my h2b cares about is how it's gonna taste! But he diagnosed with diabetes at new year's, so i'll have to do all the tasting for him! lol

Not sure what kind of cake we will have yet but it definitely will not be all fruit cake, might not have any fruit cake at all - might just have chocolate, chocolate biscuit and sponge cake or something, or maybe the smallest tier have a fruit cake

Try looking at cake websites to get ideas scdp

I like this website
http://www.amazingcakes.ie/WeddingCakes.asp

Maybe ask for pictures of cakes she has made if she has any and try and decide from there
