Hi there, I'm finding it really hard to pick out a wedding cake design that both me and H2B like! So I told him lastnight that I am just going to order one similar to a design I've seen on the internet. Would like your opinions on this please.

Im going seperate the top three tiers onto a stand (a tier on each stand) What do you think?

Thanks BeckyM, yea my bridesmaids dresses are purple and mine is ivory and there are pink flowers mixed into the boquets. Yea I think I'll order it! I'm sure H2B isn't really that bothered about the design!!

Fab cake - very funky, wouldn't put it on stands though, think it would ruin it personally and make a modern funky cake old fashioned, it will totally take the look off it, think it's fab as is

Hi Mallow, that's exactly what I was thinking about, but we would have to get a fruit/chocolate biscuit cake for the base and both of us hate them! (one thing we agree on!) I'm going to meet the baker tomorrow morning and will see what he come up with. I'm hoping it wouldn't be too bad if he has the right stands so as it looks like the tiers are stacked on top of eachother (I hope ). Ya see it's never straight forward !!!! Thanks

You do not have to pick fruit or choc biscuit for bottom, any type of cakes can be stacked in any order. I agree it would ruin the look of that cake to have it on separate stands.

With the proper support, which any experienced cake maker should be able to do, you can stack any combination of cake flavours.

The cake looks fab! i know how you feel... i think i changed by mine about 100 times before picking the one I finally went with! The problem is there is sooo many lovely ones.
