Wedding Dress Dilemma!

Postby happy_princess » Fri Sep 03, 2010 4:02 pm

Hi girls,

I need a bit of help please; I have fallen in love with Hollywood Dreams dresses but wondered are any of you going for them? They are very expensive and I will have to go north or pop over to Wales to get it within budget, I love it but am I mad? I had said no train but....it's just so pretty

Please let me know what ye think :fingerscrossed

:snowman the girl in the shop was trying to talk me out of it because it's pricy, but it made me feel like a princess, she was only recently divorced though so maybe not in the best head space for me bladdering on!

Where there's a will, there's a way :D

Shop around, look online and go to the UK if necessary. With flights so cheap it may well work out cheaper anyway!

do ye think they are too big? I dont want to look like the thing on top of the toilet roll! She only had two of their designs but I like nearly all of them http://www.hollywooddreams.co.uk/collections.html

if you asked me as a child to draw my wedding dress I would have drawn this, it is just amazing it has a kind of regal look about it. TBH I didn't expect to like anything at all yesterday, had trouble earlier this year with my thyroid and put on a heap of weight :crybaby thankfully that's sorted now but still a good few lbs to go, expected to feel a bit 'sack of spuds' in the dresses but I liked how this looked and made me feel, I nearly ran to hop in front of the big mirror - trust me with the size of the dress that was no mean feat!

well I tried on Rochelle, it doesn't look much in the pictures but in the flesh it is fab - the beadwork is amazing, it was in more of a silvery grey colour than on the website. I love the look of kiera (without the bows) or pascal is lovely or antigoine it just wow.

Which ones do you like? Do you have your dress yet?

They are very expensive - there's always a catch isn't there?!! I think they are around £1k - £3k stg, but the exchange rates magically seem to jump out of all proportion when the dresses cross the border!
