Postby ivorybride2012 » Mon Oct 17, 2011 11:42 pm

hi missies, :bluewave

hope im not driving people mad asking loads of questions..

i am thinking of not having wedding favors on the tables.... i feel whatever money is spent on them can be used somewhere else to make it a little more special or whatever. what do you girls think? will anyone even notice if they are not on the tables?? i plan on looking fabulous on the day so all eyes will be on me lol :smileybride

To be honest, I think you're right not to have favours. Don't get me wrong, I think favours are great but if money is tight (which I think it is with most people getting maried these days!) then I think it's absolutley fine not to have them. I don't really think people will mind, or indeed even notice, them not being there! For what it's worth we're not having them either.

Best of luck with your planning.

Keenfish :happywave xx

If its any help, there were no favours at the last wedding I went to and I never even noticed until I got engaged myself and asked H2B if he remembered did they have any. I doubt anyone else missed them either. We are going to make a donation to the Irish Cancer Society instead. They do cards you can put on the tables to let people know you have done that instead of favours.

We're not having favours either, we're going to donate to the ISPCA, and just put a card on each table to say we donated instead. I don't think they'll be missed! Our budget is pretty tight as well, and it was the first thing we decided to cut!

I totally agree. We're not having wedding favours, making a donation to a cancer hospice instead.

I'm not doing wedding favours either.I'd rather put my money towards something better for the day.The last wedding i was at,i noticed on the way home, that most guests had left them behind anyway!!

:bluewave We are having favors - nothin over the top and we are making them ourselves so cost is minimal - any who just thought I'd let ya know that the last two weddings I attended didn't have favors and nobody passed a blind bit of heed that there was none - so i wouldn't be worried of not having any at yours - best of luck with your planning :D

I dont think people would really notice if you had favours or not.
They know its going to cost much...

We were thinking of them but are not sure now. We are naming the tables after our fav choc bars and then having those bars on the table aswell. Considering a diy candy buffet but that will depend on funds

Hey new to the site so still getting to grips with it all but saw ur post and have to agree we booked a Photo & Video Booth aparently they are the only ones in the country to offer the 2 in the one machine and for less than what we were getting quoted for JUST PHOTO some companies really try to make a killing , think thats why i went with them they seemed genuine nice people and not robbing people. They are really flexible with their packages so dont be put off girls they can be bartered with to some extent! I obviously have not had them at our wedding YET :) but so far they have been great and i am happy to reccomend them we did go for an expensive package but they have prices starting at 500 euro ! hope that helps you guys. oh nearly forgot their web site is www.photoandvideobooth.ie
happy planning :grouphug1
