Our hotel is charging 1 euro for each mince pie (they better be very big and very tasty for that price!). I think the mulled wine is about 4e per person, but its already included in the over all package we are going for.

Our hotel charged €2.25 for mulled wine, but it was included in our package. We actually got rid of it because I don't know anybody who likes it, and h2b can't even stand the smell! So we got rid of it and just have the tea/coffee on arrival (and bartered on evening food instead for a better deal). Guests won't notice at all to be fair. Most of them will just head straight for the bar! You day will be just as amazing without them. Promise.

Our hotel is quoting us 5.50 euro per person for mulled wine. For the 40-ish people attending, that comes to over 250 euros ! That doesn't even include the canapes we want to have on arrival for people! h2b is visiting dublin right now to sort out things like this, but I'm afraid he's not a very good bargainer (he tries, but he's just too polite when it comes down to money). If the price doesn't drop significantly, we're gonna have to scrap the mulled wine idea too.
