Are you doing wedding favours? If yes you could make a start on them - also a thing to remember is give yourself a break - just because you are getting married doesn't mean you have to be constantly thinking of things to do - you'll end up with a headache and stressed and one thing we have said this wedding of ours is not going to be is stressful, there should be no need for stress hehehe:) We were the same as you, within 7/8 weeks of getting engaged we had all the "Big" things sorted, booked and deposits down (Last Feb) as in church/venue/music/photographer etc and decided to take a break from it all and just relax and enjoy our engagement, we have only really started getting back into wedding things/plans the last 3 weeks - As in got pre-marriage course done, international and national invites posted, looked at favors and as of today registered our marriage officially:) will be getting our church documents sorted and our 1st visit with the priest this month (within 6 month window) and then I'd say that will be it til after Christmas :) - so my point in a round about way - take some time out for yourself and your H2B

im looking at BM dresses in December.
i have a thought on the cake. maybe you guys could advise or tell me what the current ettiquette is. if i get a 3 tier cake, we use the bottom for cutting and sharing with guest, does the top or second tier kept for Parents? what is the story there?
thanks.

Oh and sorry I know in the past the top tier was kept for the christening of your first child but think that notion went out the window when cakes became less traditional! Not sure about the parents bit hadn't heard that!

Have you got your own wedding dress yet? With cakes it was traditionally share bottom tier on day, middle tier for 1st childs christening and top tier for 1st annniversary (I think!) but I plan on serving all mine between tea/coffee course and the afters
