Hello Every1!

I hope all your planning is going well!
Im just trying to get some advice on when to purchase/order my wedding dress, I am not getting married until 2013 and I really would like to start looking but Im afraid its too early..
wha do ye think?

Hey mrs2be2013 im in the same boat as u, im also a may 2013 bride and mad to start looking, was in a bridal shop and she told me that for me to start in may 2012 would be loads of time but that seems so far away..

When we got engaged, we set the date for 12 months time. I started looking for dresses straight away. I was told that the dress had to be ordered a minimum of 6 months in advance, in order to get the dress made and any alterations done. I ordered mine just over 8 months to go. I would say 12 months in advance is plenty of time to start looking. Dresses changes for the design seasons, so if you start looking now, the same dresses won't be around next year when you get around to ordering it.

Hey , my dress was ordered last month for this time next year. We started planning in January and I knew it was too early to order the dress , but it didnt stop me looking HTH x

Dya Know what? Its never too early! I started looking for my dress in february this year, im getting married next may, tbh I wouldve started to look earlier but I just didnt have a minute. I picked my dress in March & paid the deposit, got them to hold off ordering til June cause I wanted to lose a few pound!

But when ya wanna start looking do, it might take ya a while to find the perfect dress!

ya i'm getting married in 2013 and been looking in a few places. know all ready what kinda style i want but in my head... you only get married once so taking my time to make sure i know what style i want for when i go seriously shopping next year. love trying on the dresses and having all the attention on me as in every day life i tend to blend into the crowd.

me and h2b will be moving end of apr so once we moved to new place wedding plans will be all GO GO GO!!!

I ordered mine in April and not getting married til June 2012. The only thing is I have it sitting at home in the wardrobe only waiting to be worn. Oh well only another 8 months

I would go and have a feel for what you like. dont buy too early as u might see too much of one style betwneen now and your wedding and you might get worried. one year is loads. i have not even picked mine yet. I have heard girls worried thwey dont love their dress close to the wedding as they bought it so early, so take ure time. God luck. its the best part!
