Elope?
Elope?
First time post for me on Mrs2be!
Basically, me and my now fiance are together over 7 years. Have 2 children together.
Family wise, my parents do not get on. At all!! So trying to organise a wedding with all this family stuff going on.
When we first got engaged we talked about getting married abroad or eloping! Then decided we would have it here, but having second thoughts again.
So thinking of going abroad or eloping, just me, fiance and our two children. I was delighted when we got engaged and now trying to organise a wedding is getting me down as I am dreading the big day with my family.
Has anyone eloped or gone abroad to get married with just your children? We want a civil ceremony but just not sure what to do. Sorry for long post
Just wanted to give a bit of info as to why I don't know what to marry here!!
Thanks,
toasted

Re: Elope?
We've definitely decided on abroad. Just need to decide on a country that we can have a civil ceremony in. Thats a good idea about having the party when we come back - Thanks!

Re: Elope?
We considered eloping to Spain, but it wasnt possible for a church wedding, but I think it is possible for a civil ceremony! I think coming back and announcing the news would be so nice!!
Good luck with your decisions!

Re: Elope?
If you feel strongly enough about eloping hun then go for it, you'll be the least stressed out bride ever. Throw a big party when you get back to celebrate.

Re: Elope?
We have decided on these two options
1) Civil Ceremony in Ireland - Have it in a different county from our own and book a nice restaurant or something for afters - havent gone into the finer details yet
OR......
2) Las Vegas!!
At least we've narrowed it down now
