Can anyone tell me what their menus were like at a wedding abroad? Did you go for tastings like you would at home? Any help appreciated.

Having a buffet too. Mixture of thai food and bbq(for those flying in). Will prob have a tasting alright, but we live here.

So far, our preliminary menu looks like this. They've been pretty good for changing things though and have let us pick and choose from different set menus.

Spring Roll

Green Curry chicken (geng keaw waan)
Stir Fried Chicken with garlic and pepper
Stir fried mix vegetable with oyster sauce
BBQ Chicken skewer

Steamed Rice
Vegetable Fried rice
Fresh seasonal fruits

I got married in Portugal last year and we had a buffet dinner too. It went down really well - people were going up for seconds and thirds even so that was a good sign!

We had a mixture of stuff - steak, seafood rice, fish, chicken and lamb - the caterers came up with the menu and there really was something for everyone.

In terms of tastings, we just ate at the caterer's restaurant a couple of times and the food was delicious so we were happy that the standard would be good.
