Aer lingus are supposed to be pretty good with them. eBay sell these really great boxes that are hand luggage size and the shop can fold up your dress in it. Your wedding planner can take it and steam it in Lanzarote if you need them too, but most reports I've heard say you don't need to.
Ryanair aren't as accommodating so the box is the way to go with them. It even has a handle and is acid free.

Nowamrs, what did you do about not letting the groom see your dress??? We live in the Uk at the moment, we're traveling over together and everyone else is coming from Ireland the day after. How did you hide it?? Or do people bother when going abroad??

Dosserka what do I search for to have a look at them on e bay they sound good I know my dress is pretty big anyone fly as part of a package hol i.e falcon etc what way do they work . My planner has said she will take dress asap once we arrive and she can sort the steam clean if needed so I won't be worried about h2b seeing it

Heya, google eBay wedding dress box. I'm on an iPhone here so can't post links...
No idea about the package holidays airlines, and haven't heard of any feedback on the forums. Prob best to check with them. We're flying with Monarch from UK, I know they do some of the charter flights from Ireland to canaries, they won't make any allowances ... :(

Hi girls i just got married last month and we flew with Aerlingus. We both flew out a few days before everyone else so it was just the 2 of us. I carried the dress myself and the staff were brillant. The flight wasnt full so i lay it out on the last 4 seats of the plane. It was in a dress bag so it never had to be opened so my husband never saw it! ( love saying that!)
I hung it up in the apartment for 2 days and just opened the bag up and let out the end of the dress but covered with a sheet from the bed so it wasnt seen! Our wedding planner took it off me then and kept if safe! Didnt even need to be steamed.
We had the wedding of a lifetime and would love to do it all over again! EVERYTHING will work out so nobody worry about anything!
We organised an Aftershock party for the night after the wedding and it was super! Everyone loved it. We had BBQ which was free, we just had to bring our guests! Super night.
If anyone has any questions dont hesitate to ask because I had plenty when i was organising mine!

hello guys, if you are married in Lanzarote then I think you must decorate your wedding destination with silk trees. its very good option for wedding decorations...
