Good, we got our church assigned to us in Tao and our priest so its all systems go! I had a minor panic when the church was assigned as I would have preferred the closer church but we decided it wouldnt be worth the hassle of changing the date with the risk of the reception not being available (and still might not get the church we wanted) just for the sake of an extra ten mins drive. So after a reassuring email from my planner that the roads were good, the church beautiful and a sneeky peek at google maps I felt much better. It was my only fear as Im not the best traveller in the world, on twisty windy roads especially so once I saw the flat straight road I was right as rain :speedy
To be fair to the planner she was fab and sent me extra photos of the inside of the church and got onto the priest for me to see about the closer churches, at least I know its all in good hands!

My heart goes out to you Ashy, I know you just want to start on things which is hard to do if you havent got the date. Have you emailed her? Give her a buzz even if you wanted thats what she is there for after all. I was very reluctant at first to be enquiring too much but friends were like thats what she's being paid for (although god love planners I dont know if Id be able for planning someone else's big day  )

Going to pop into some travel agents with my mum today just to get a vague idea of prices in case some people want to go the travel agent route although most will probably book online. Im going to ask the travel agents when it would be best to book flights in terms of price, will there be sales etc. coming up.
Can I ask Irisheyes how far in advance ye booked flights?

Hey wuzzles

Some of the hubbies family book fights in the January sales and got a fair enough deal. Having said that we booked ours in late April and to be honest there was only a few euro in the difference. We also checked out the travel agent deals and researched it for guest but to be honest they're best to book everything individually. If you do go this route make sure you ring apartments/hotel to ask about group rate discount and tell your guests. ( your planner may also have a affiliation with a hotel etc that could maybe get ya a deal.)
Hope that helps ya : )

Would you recommend anywhere in particular to look at for guests to stay Irisheyes?

These are the places our families stayed in, the atlantis Los lomas, the Elena apartments and the fariones apartments and the hotel there as well. To be honest location wise the Elena wins hands down, although very basic and a small complex but very clean and friendly, out the door turn right an your on the strip. Have a look at trip advisor for different places and look at the map to see the location. Happy hunting : )
