How many days do I need to be in Italy before wedding?

Postby cortonaBride » Wed Jan 18, 2012 10:28 am

Hi there,

We are getting married in Cortona, Tuscany in Sept. I have our flights booked which will arrive on a Sat and then the wedding is on the Weds. I thought 4 days would be enough time to arrive beforehand but does anyone know how long is sufficient to arrrive in the country or if there is any law that says you have to be in Italy x amount of days before the wedding? As far as I know we just have to sign something in the town hall 1-2 days beforehand so I thought we would be fine.

I'd really appreciate any help or advice just so I don't have to wory about re-booking flights!

Thanks a lot!

Hi We are getting married this summer and are going to the town hall the day before to sign the paperwork. Our planner is lovely so you could e-mail her and see if she can answer your question for you regarding Cortona. Her name is Kelly and she is Irish so no language barrier, here is her e-mail kelly@theitalianweddingplanner.com
Good luck!
