Hey dosserka
Not long now..... Exciting times ahead. I'll probably pass ya in the airport we fly home on the 7th October!!!!! No we didn't bother ordering in anything @ the Amura. In fairness they just look to cover their costs when people make special requests. We went through that with our menu as we wanted a choice on the day but in the end we met half way with eachother. Who is your planner?

We're with ann L. Couldn't fault her, she actually feels like a friend at this stage! Only 9 days left for you, you must be flying soon??
At this stage there's no more planning to be done just counting down the days now. Bit I'm dead excited, can't wait!! Even just for the holiday, lol. Xx

Hi girls

I was on holidays in Lanzarote 2 weeks ago and meet up wit the wedding planner( Ann Leneghan) while we were there. She is soooooo nice and friendly. She couldnt do enough for us.

She took us to see a wedding taking place while we were there. I think it was in the church in Uga. There was about 100 at the wedding. I was really glad that we got to see what she does. It was brilliant, she does absolute everything for you. She is with you the whole day on your Wedding day.

We then went to view the Costa Calero hotel this was amazing the views from the hotel is unreal. I would definately recommend any1 getting married in Lanzarote to go and view the hotels( i would definately recommend this hotel)the manager of the hotel was really nice and friendly. I think we are going to go with this for 2013 :-)

Exciting times ahead

Irisheyes - how did you get on?? Was thinking of you when we were out there, am suprised we didn't run into one another- we so should have organised a meet up!
Girlies - just back from getting married in Lanzarote, used Ann leneghan and had the reception in the Amura in Puert Calero. If I can be of any help - let me know!!!

Hi Ladies,
New to this website & forum craic. Got engaged recently and we're looking into Lanzarote for The Big Day. I noted alot of good reviews for Ann Leneghan as wedding planner in Lanzarote. I have just emailed her website and got an automated reply so should have a response within next 24hrs. Thinking a beach venue for ceremony or a terrace venue where we can also hold the afters. Is anyone else doing this and has ideas? Any suggestions for music or venues?

Hi Cutie, CONGRATS!!! It's so exciting and am v jealous!! I just wanna do it all over again!!! :)

So, have patience with Ann - I somtimes felt at the beginning that she wasn't getting back to me- but I have to sya - the woman knows what she's doing - everything just fell into place on the day!! I have a multitude of stuff they sent me if you wanna PM me. She spends so much time with her brides when they are out there - she's just not at the computer 24/7 to reply to everyone, allthough to be fair, they did try!! But when we were out there - her and her team were on call for us for the entire week. There was a case of a lost handbag and an emergency octors appointment which they looked after for me!!

So the Hesperia are great for beach weddings and have a fab terrace. But their numbers are restricted - if you're having more than 55, then it's gonna be too small.

The Amura in Puerto Calero has a fab terrace overlooking the Marina and I know they do weddings on that... but no beach if that's what youre really looking for.

The Los Jameos has FAb surroundings, but they have a minimum spend between the food and drink taken in onthe night so check your numbers.

Finaly the Costa Calero - FAB resort with amazing people. But the room doesn't have a view. But if people are staying in the resort then the views from the Piano Bar for the pre reception are out of this world, as are the ones from the rooms!!!

OK - info overload - PM me with your e mail if you want any more info

Hello! Another Lanzarote Bride here! Im going with Amura. Its fab there! But Im having a very small wedding (approx 35 people) and I'm worried about the evening, I dont want people to leave and go to Pto del Carmen but is 35 people enough for a DJ? I have Two Chez as the band but they finish at 10pm. Anyone else planning a small wedding and have any idea on this?

Nah, 35 is perfect. I'd def reccome d the dj. In fact id skip the band part. I found with the Amura, ppl want to sit outside an enjoy the weather after dinner. Plus we had a lot of smokers. Was a nightmare to get them inside. The Amura finishes at 1am anyway, so you won't be there all night anyway....

We are having around 35 in the Hesperia and are just having a dj as we are just not band people. Are you using a wedding planner? It might be worth getting some suggestions, wither to replace the band with a dj only fullstop or what about having someone from the band dj for two hours after the band finish or having the band play on?
