oh god ur a brave woman to go about doin it witout a planner hun, stary em nd I are using d same planner and I don't know how I'd av gone about booking everythin witout her.
I'd say ur best bet is to maybe contact ur own priest and ask him does he know how you'd get in touch wit a priest in lanza, I know d bishop out there decides on which church u get so that wud be my starting point I think.

Hi caroline hun your better off googlin weddin planners in Lanzarote there 2 or 3 main GOOD planners. Get prices off them and compare them to here. We like you have MASSIVE familys and we just couldnt afford to have them all come to a wedding here wed be up in the 300's. Well have around 70/80 goin over so thats a big saving per head. hth :D

Starting to get really excited now, counting down all the days I have left in work this morning, I really can't wait to get on that plane at this stage, one last fitting of my dress and I'm sorted.

Caroline, on your post, both H2B and I have huge families too and we cudn't justify spending all that money inviting them all, we have a very small wedding in Lanzarote we have 30 travelling and I think this is a nice number, we'll be able to spend proper time with them all on the day. On the cost factor the main saving really is not having to invite every1 you'd be almost obliged to invite if you were to have it at home.

If you do end up getting a planner Ann Leneghan is supposed to be really good. My brother has her and she seems to be doing everything for them. Where are you guys having your receptions in Lanza? We were out in October looking at venues and my brother went for the Hesperia in Puerto Calero. Going over for Paddys day, might have another peek at it!

Hi Princess Sparkles.

Thinking of booking Lanzarote for Aug 2012 and was looking at the Hesperia. Did you go see it on Paddys Day? Looks like its not to far from Puerto Del Carmen?

Thanks,
Alison

Hey Alison

The hesperia is in puerto calero which is only about 5-10 mins if that from puerto del Carmen, it's a fab hotel. Have you sorted your planner yet or have any ideas of what kinda ceremony you would like

Hi Irish eyes,

The hotel does look fab. I love the restaurant looking over the sea. Its exactly what I had in mind. I am in 2 minds about a blessing and a church wedding. Im wondering would the blessing be expensive with having to hire a venue and that. Its great that its not far from Puerto Del Carmen, means wont be spending all day on bus. But still get out of PDC for the day to something different. Love that they have a buffet. HAve a few fussy eaters going.LOL
