Simple destination dress needed

Postby dreais » Sun Mar 06, 2011 12:17 am

Hi girls,
I'm looking for some suggestions of brands and dresses. I'm hoping to marry in a French countryside destination so would love either a fitted style with a sheer material coming out from it-so I have a bit of volume without being lost (I'm a size 8-10, 5ft 2in with small waist and bigger hips) or a fitted lace dress. I want to stay away from diamanté or fussy details, something simple and elegant (preferably with a nice small price tag).

I started my dress search last weekend and liked a fitted mermaid style. I liked this style (it'll give ye an idea of my shape too):

Thanks in advance,

My sister got a fabulous blue dress in monsoon as a bridesmaid's dress. Its knee length, with kind of a lace overlay. She spotted in online a few months ago and it wasn't available in Ireland then. So she ordered it from Monsoon in UK. Anyway - I saw it in Cork in Monsoon 2 weeks ago, it's in Ireland now, and it's in ivory too - it would make a gorgeous wedding dress!
Just to let you know - ordering it online, even with postage and everything, she got it for about €50 cheaper than in shops here. So that is probably the same for all their wedding dresses, just so you know! You could try it on here, so you know the size you want, and then order it online. They have some fab dresses!
