Hi pet, I also got information off Ann but I have read reports on here that she is spreading herself a little thinly and taking ages to answer emails etc. I am going with Weddings to Envy, they are lovely and very very nice to deal with.. if you want anymore info just ask me or what ever ok xx whens the big day?

Hey,
We've decided to go with lanzaroteweddings. So far I can't fault them at all. We have emailed them so many times with the silliest of questions and they have always answered straight away. We basically started by emailing them asking them to send us on a current price list for everything they offer. Then we sat down and worked out what we wanted and emailed them an outline of how we wanted our day to run and they sent us back a price quote for that. Then after many more emails we finally decided to send a deposit and set our date!
We had originally planned on going with Ann also but after failing to get in contact with her through her website and finally getting in touch with her through an email address a friend gave us for her all we got back was an automated email. I was around 10 days before a person actually emailed us back. By that stage lanzaroteweddings had already answered most of our queries. I know people who have used Ann and say she's super but we just weren't comfortable with having to wait ages for a response all the time.

Yea I agree its a disgraceful way to run a business especially one where communication is a key element! Where have you picked for the reception pet? I love Lanzarote i cant WAIT!!! We are having ours in the Gran Melia Salinas, hopefully we are going over to have a look at all the hotels soon though as I am not booking anywhere I havent seen.. We have had a bit of trouble with our planning so far with dates etc and it isnt as easy we thought it would be but maybe thats just our experience!

I agree with you both we thought about going with Ann and were just about to put down our booking desposit with her but had second thoughts. Mailed her to explain that we have decided against using her services but 'thank you very much for all your help BLAH BLAH BLAH... sort of thing. Never got a reply from them. Then last wednesday she HERSELF ( alway got mails from her assistant never herself) sent us a mail to say congrats we are pleased to confirm your date. :wtf Now may i add she nor did we make contact for at least 5-6 weeks before last week.
But the funny thing is that, the date we had choosen fell on a very holy day on the island and no priest would do a service on this day because they would be conducting services for the locals.
we had been told this within a few days of actually speaking with our new planners, but it took her Ann months rather than weeks to tell us that.
dont get me wrong her experience is vast and hence the reason she was even considered but her lack of communication drove me to distraction!!!!!!!
I know a few of you ladies and a friend of mine have used her and where delighted with her and her work so there is no question that she is fantastic at her job. but her interaction with her clients is dreadful

Its such a pity she's spreading herself too thin. If she's as good as people say she is then she could have a lot more business if she was more organised. She obviously needs more staff... someone who stays in the office who deals with queries from new clients and does the planning from the office. To say she's at weddings most of the week and will only get back to you at the weekend isn't good enough really.
I've booked the Hisperia Hotel in Puerto Calero. We're having ours on their little private beach... can't wait. Haven't seen it in person so we're taking a chance but the pictures look fab and We're trusting our planners recommendation! Hopefully it will be as nice as it looks. We can't really afford to go on a viewing trip and got 2 kiddies so its not so easy to arrange heading over for a weekend either.

Hey girls weve booked with ann. Went over in sept to view venues when we were on holidays. Little fella called JJ showed us round, such a nice lad. Also met another crowd but there was something bout them that i didint like... Have date set and deposit paid i swear there a god send. Any requests i have they are brillant i havent been told no to anything, i even changed half the menu and added extra wine with my menu with no problem. I deal with both JJ and Ann. I think there brillant.
Excitedb2b... hesperia was one of the 3 hotels we went to see. Beautiful hotel its literally on the beach to one side is the hotel and the other side is the ocean with a big blue pantoon. Fab to look at but only fit 50 -55.

Delighted to hear the Hisperia is lovely. We are only having 30 guests so that fits our wedding perfect. What way are ye going for accomodation during your wedding week over there? We have a villa booked for ourselves but no flights booked yet. Was looking up flights the other day and they are very expensive esp when you add in bags etc, really hope they come down in price as I know a lot of my family are stretching to afford to come join us for the day.
Stary Em, delighted you found Ann good by the way, it must be nice to have met them in person so you know who your dealing with. What hotel did you decide to go with?
